Taken from his bed in his sleep, Franklin Nitherlith finds himself trapped within a strange, foreign realm. Franklin is the first of his kind, to traverse such a land, filled with strangely familiar sights, sounds, smells, and other senses. The neglected colony land is called "Earth 5," a land long forgotten to a generation of practically immortal lab-created humans, now capable of self-healing and regeneration. Franklin finds himself alone, the only human on the whole planet. But he isn't quite alone. Franklin was taken by a scout from one of the last remaining citadels belonging to the natives of Earth 5. They take Franklin because of his strange connection to them. A connection he didn't even know about until they showed him.
