I flailed my arms and legs around, hoping Alex would let me get up, but he wasn't falling for my plan. He finished reading the letter, while I was stuck, helpless, on the ground. How could I do this... I shouldn't have brought my work... This one letter was the least of my worries. There had to be at least twenty more in there. I'm guessing he found another one because he made sure I was still secure on the ground before scanning through a few more of my papers.
After he was done reading, he lifted his foot off me and simply whispered, "My god..." I stayed still, having no reason to get up, since he had now found everything.
Alex looked down at me and I quickly looked away before he scooped me off the ground. Without thinking about it, for self-defense I started kicking around trying to get down. Alex didn't put me down, instead he held me closer. I curled up and laid my head against him to listen to his heartbeat, which somehow calmed me down.
-------------------------------------
When we got back to our tent, he didn't set me down. He sat on a wooden chair that had somehow ended up in our tent. With me being calm already, I didn't fight back when he started rocking me back and forth... How was that even possible? Who knows... All I could do was fall asleep in his lap with him holding me.
I woke up after what felt like a few hours, and noticed something was off. I was now on my sleeping bag, I'm guessing Alex put me there, but Alex was sleeping next to me, his arms wrapped around me. Am I now a giant teddy bear? Was my arm not enough? I'll have to ask if he remembers this or if he knows why this happened. I felt a slight pressure on my head and reached up to feel that a bandage had been tied around my head.
-----------------------------------
With Alex holding me, I couldn't get up without the possibility of waking him up, so I stayed still for a while, until he woke up. I could tell he was most likely still out of it because he started cuddling into me and holding me tighter. Exactly what I wanted... I heard him whisper "Morning Johnnnn." but he still wasn't moving, and I was unsure of what time it actually was. I looked around and wondered where Herc and Laf were, had they already left? I whispered back, "Morning Alex, have a nice rest?" He hummed, "mhmmm," but was still cuddling me... Was I wrong? Did he know he was like this?
A couple minutes passed of Alex just holding me before he wrapped his legs around my waist and started kissing my neck. Is this normal? He had to know he was doing this... But the Alex I had known for the past week would never have the courage to do this?
