===========================
Benedict Cumberbatch is in the coffee shop, and I am making him coffee. And he is flirting with me. He called me cute! The coffee has finished brewing and I pour it into a cup, putting in some cream and sugar.
"Ah, Bethanie? May I ask if you are on break anytime soon?" Benedict asks, smiling slightly. Wait- he's asking if I'm on a break soon? What?!
"Oh-I...uh- I think in about 5 minutes or so, yes. Why?" I look up shyly waiting for his answer. He smiles from ear to ear and claps his hands together.
"Perfect! You should sit with me on your break. That is...if you want to." He smiles again."Well duh! Oh- I mean, I would love to." BETH! You stupid idiot! Don't act like a fangirl....or the fangirl you act like when you're in your apartment and not in his presence. "I'd love to." I smile, keeping my cool and hand him his coffee.
"Great, I'll be over at one of the tables then." He thanks me and Jon for the coffee and goes to sit at the corner table.
"Well Bethie, looks like you are fancied by a celebrity!" Jon nudges me and smiles. "I'll cover the last few minutes. Go sit with him!" He smiles at me and pushes me towards the table.
"Alright, alright! Stop pushing me!" I whisper and glare disapprovingly at him, even though I'm tempted to run over there. I smooth my shirt and make sure my hair looks alright, and quickly make my way over. "H-hello Mr. Cumberbatch, I'm on break now." He's scrolling on his phone and I just can't help but stare at him until he looks up.
"Well, please sit Beth! Also, do call me Benedict from now on, please, I insist" He looks at me and puts his phone in his jacket pocket, smiling. I comply and sit down across from him, my leg brushing against his.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Benedict!" I quickly back my chair up a little, blushing. "I-I didn't mean to do that, I'm very clumsy..." He laughs and shakes his head. "By all means Beth, don't worry. But, if you don't mind me asking, why are you working with hot beverages if you're clumsy?" He leans towards me and grins, which makes me blush even harder.
"Well, when I moved here, it was the only job I could find. And for your information I've only spilled coffee a few times!" I playfully glare at him, forgetting for a moment that he is a celebrity. He is so comfortable to be around, it's like I've known him for years! "Plus, I'm in makeup school right now, and this job works well with me, flexible hours and all that." I shrug and look at him, and he's already looking intently at me.
"Makeup, eh? What kind? Films? I could get you a job when you're finished with school if you'd like!" He looks at me, with a serious face. "I'm sure you'd have to have a portfolio and everything, but I can get you in to some movies or shows."
He would do that?! He doesn't even know me! "I would love that! That is so sweet of you to even offer..thank you!" I beam at him, and I think I see a hint of embarrassment in his face, so I quickly change the subject. "So, yeah, may I ask why you wanted me to sit with you? Not that I'm complaining or anything...." I trail off, immediately knowing I'm making a fool of myself.
"Well truthfully Beth, I think you're damn gorgeous, and I wanted to just talk to you. And from what I've found out so far, you seem like you have a beautiful personality." He runs his hand through his short, dark brown hair, almost like he's nervous. "Listen, Beth, I have a movie premiere to attend this evening... And I, well I was wondering if you would want to escort me?"
(Oooooh, cliffhanger ;) guess you'll have to keep reading to find out what she says! xoxo)
