Trapped

Just to refresh your memory:
I had an empty plate in my hand when I ran to the door I then chewed and swallowed the sandwich before putting on a smile and opened the door. My mouth dropped open and I dropped the plate in fear causing it to shatter loudly. I looked up from the broken pieces of glass to see a smirk on his face standing with his mom and dad.

"Guess what burger...they're moving in next door" my mom said exitingly.Oh God.

There standing at my doorstep was my one and only ex Damon. He hurt me so bad physically and emotionally but my parents would never know. He'd get mad at me for talking to another boy and he'd beat me, he'd beat me until I pass out. One day I caught him cheating on me, he was having sex with my 'bestfriend' Amy when I walked in his room and when I cried and tried to leave him for that he beat me he called me weak and worthless and even a whore when everyone knew I was a virgin and was only with him, I still am to this day. Once Parker walked into him slap me across the face and he jumped on him and they fought and Parker hurt him bad and made him get out of our house.That was a month before we moved and I thought I'd never have to see him again, but here he is on my door step acting as if he never did anything wrong to me, as if nothing ever happened and my mom had no idea what I went through because I'd lock myself in my room until my bruised skin healed. I was pulled out of my thoughts by my mother's voice.

"Oh sweetie you broke the glass...go ahead give him a hug and a kiss you won't believe how lucky you got,me and Mrs.Wright were talking on the phone and she said she was planning on moving in this area because Damon seemed so sad without you and I know you too broke up a little bit before we moved because you didn't think the long distance relationship would work but you two were just the cutest couple ever" she said excitedly picking up the big pieces of the plate on the floor.

"Oh my God Damon I missed you so much... Mr and Mrs.Wright how are you!" I said grabbing his hand and pulling him inside for a hug.

I've learned how to hide my feelings so well that they don't realize how sad I am on the inside. I feel like I'm trapped in a box that I can't get out of, a box called the past. The past that I wanted to let go of so badly but I'm trapped and there's no way out.

"Sweetie take Damon downstairs with the boys Parker and Michael have to catch up they were good friends" she said smiling

I grabbed his hand and as soon as we opened the door to the basement he squeezed my hand hard making me contort my face in pain, a tear rolling down my cheek. Damon smirked and kissed my cheek.

"You've missed me haven't you cupcake, did you really think you could hide from me? Damn I forgot how stupid you are" he said grabbing my face roughly (the thumb on one cheek and the on the other four fingers on the other squeezing them) causing my cheeks to push inwards.

"Come on, we don't want them expecting anything now wipe those little tears" he said grabbing my hand roughly then holding it gently.

I walked down the stairs and pulled Damon down gently with me. Causing all three of their heads to turn. Parker glared at Damon and looked at me worriedly. Thank God Parker only knew about the slap or he would've lunged at Damon already and they'd be in a serious fight.

"Hey man I missed you I haven't seen you since... actually I don't even know" Michael said pulling him in for one of those bro hug/handshakes and I looked over at Parker and gave him the 'we'll talk later look' I'm not really sure how that would look but he got what I meant when I looked at him. Parker stood up and gave him the bro hug/ handshake too and sat back down.
