Angelica POV
The Schuyler Sisters walked into the nightclub, all eyes on them. Margarita, who they called Peggy, looked sweet and innocent, but in her eyes there was a look of danger. The middle sister, Elizabeth, radiated excitement for her 21st birthday. And then there was Angelica. You could see her wisdom from being the oldest, as well as her silent defensiveness over her little sisters. They strode over to the bar. Angelica looked around, this was supposed to be the best night club in New York. She wouldn't have anything less for Eliza, what they called the middle sister for short. "A daiquiri for me, please," said Peggy.
The bartender nodded and began to work when a familiar freckled face snuck up. In Peggy's ear he whispered, "Magarita Schuyler, we both know you are not old enough to be ordering alcoholic beverages."
She gasped and turned around, "John Laurens! You're back from South Carolina!" They hugged.
"Yep," John faced Eliza, "Happy birthday, Ms. Schuyler," and shook her hand.
"Thank you, John," she took a sip of her cocktail.
"Angelica," he said. "Angelica?" He waved his hand in front of her face.
Angelica longingly stared across the room at a pair of blue eyes and auburn hair. She tucked one of her dark curls behind her ear and bit her lip. John took her gin and tonic as Angelica shoved it into his hands.
She strode across the dance floor towards her prey. Her finger gently tapped his shoulder and he turned around. Large blue eyes stared into her brown ones. After a moment he said, "You strike me as a woman who has never been satisfied."
She gasped, didn't he know who she was? "I'm sure you don't know what you mean, you forget yourself."
Seeing her reaction he smiled, "You're like me. I'm never satisfied."
"Is that right?" She smiled back. He was such a flirt.
He nodded, "I have never been satisfied."
Angelica stuck her hand out, "Angelica Schuyler."
He looked a bit shocked and then returned to his normal expression. "Alexander Hamilton."
"Where's your family from?"
"Unimportant, there's a million things I haven't done, but just you wait."
Angelica smiled, she liked him.
Under his breath he mumbled, "Just you wait."
"You're an interesting character, Mr. Hamilton," she laughed.
"Is your father the Mr. Schuyler?" He blurted out.
"Yes, sir. The one and only. Why do you ask?"
"I've heard about your family from a Mr. Burr."
"Aaron, ugh."
"I know how you feel. He has no opinion," Alexander groaned.
"I know! And he is such a player."
He fiddled with his hands, "Yeah."
Eliza walked up to them starting at Alexander, "Hey, Ange, who's this?"
"Alexander Hamilton," he said. "And who are you?"
"Elizabeth Schuyler, but you can call me Eliza."
Angelica could tell her sister had already consumed too many drinks. "Eliza, what's Peggy doing?"
"Oh, just flirting with John."
Alexander looked up, "John Laurens?"
Eliza gazed at him, "Yes, actually."
"Can we dance?" He asked the middle sister.
"That would be nice."
"I'll leave you to it," Angelica sighed even though nobody was listening.
She sat at the bar next to Peggy and John. The bartender gave her another gin and tonic. Angelica slowly sipped it and glared at her sister dancing with Alexander. No Angelica, it's your sister's birthday. Don't be jealous, it's not right.
A man walked up to her and sat down, "Ms. Schuyler."
Angelica groaned, "Aaron, go away."
"What's the matter?" He followed her line of vision. "Alexander, and who is that? Your sister? Angelica, if you cared about you dear sister, you can't let her be around him, he is scum."
"Don't you say that about him, what did he ever do to you?" Angelica seethed. Woah, why am I being so defensive?
Burr grinned and laughed, "Wait, hold on. You like him?"
"Pfft, no."
"It appears the middle Schuyler has feelings for him, too. But I guess your feelings really don't matter, do they? At least they haven't since you eloped to that John Barker Church guy."
Angelica looked back at them. Did she really like him? Then she looked at her sister. Eliza looked helpless. She was such a romantic, believing in love at first sight.
That's when Eliza crouched over and through up all over Alexander. Angelica ran over to the scene. Eliza sobbed, "I'm so sorry, Alexander!"
"It's okay," he stared at his ruined shoes.
Angelica grabbed Eliza's arm and dragged her over to the bar, sitting her down, "Peggy, watch her."
Tears streamed down Eliza's face, "Ange, how could I do that? Alexander is such a great man. How could I do that?"
Angelica saw Alexander heading for the bathroom, so she followed him from across the club. She must have startled him when she reached him because he jumped. "Ms. Schuyler!"
"It's Angelica. Could I help you clean up? It's the least I could do after what my younger sister did."
"No thank you, I think that I have it, Ms. Schuy- Angelica," he opened the door to the bathroom and walked in.
Angelica stopped the door from shutting, "I insist."
"Fine."
He slipped his shoes off and rinsed them off in the sink. Angelica handed him paper towel. He took it and stared at her hand. His eyes ran all the way up her arm to her shoulders ending at her eyes.
They stood there for a minute in silence, staring. Then Angelica threw herself against him. His lips mingled with hers and he ran his fingers through her hair.
He unbuttoned his shirt and threw it. She slid her heels off as he ripped her black tank top off of her. Alexander pressed her to the wall. He kissed her mouth, slowly moving down her neck. Angelica smirked as they went into a stall. She shut the door and locked it.

A month later Angelica was back in London with her husband, John. She was out in the garden when she got a text from Eliza:
Angelica,
Thank you again for coming home for my birthday, I really appreciate it. Peggy and I already miss you. I hope that London is just as beautiful in early autumn as it is here in New York. And I'm sure that you remember Mr. Alexander Hamilton? Last night we met each other again and he proposed that we go steady! I know that you are excited for us and I can't wait for your next trip home!
With love, ElizaAngelica sat in awe for a minute until she threw her phone into a bush. She began to sob into her hands. How could this happen to her? How could Eliza be dating Alexander, she thought he loved her.
Then Angelica sat up and wiped her tears. What did she even expect? She couldn't ever be with Alexander, she was already married. And she couldn't divorce, she needed this life that John Church provided.
Angelica would just have to live with it.
