Liam's POV
As I walked out of the classroom, I got a tingly feeling. Not the one I was feeling all day, it was a new one. I went to my locker and got the things I needed before I started walking out of the building to my car. I got met by a face I didn't want and wasn't expecting to see, Jake. He was walking out of the principles office.
"You're lucky your family knows people in the school board." I heard Principle Novak say to Jake as he started to walk away. He looked at me and shook his head. A bunch of questions went through my mind about why he was shaking his head at me. He stopped walking in the middle of the hallway. Honestly, I stopped walking to so I wouldn't catch up to him. Once he noticed I stopped he looked straight at me.
"Liam come on, man. Just come here, man. I-I need to talk to you." He said upset but annoyed at the same time. I slowly walked up to him. He walked over and leaned up against a locker.
"Hey man, I'm really sorry about the fight thing. I didn't think that's what would happen. Whenever I and the football guys do it nothing happens because we play football. But you don't play football so I had a different take on you. There's a reason why I've bullied you for so long but you promise not to tell anyone? Like you can tell a few people but don't tell a lot. I'm gay. I didn't want the guys to think I was so I started bullying. " I closed my eyes and shook my head for a second. I looked at him with my mouth wide open and in shock.
"Wait, what? So, you're telling me, the person who you've bullied non-stop since I came here is gay? " I whispered so only the two of us can hear what I'm saying. He nodded his head and then looked down and shook his head. "I'm sorry Liam." He said before walking in the other direction. I was really in shock at that. Thinking about why he would be so mean. He was just gay, it's not like he's an alien that escaped Area 51.
So I kept making my way to the car and there I was met by one of my closest friends, Zayn Malik. "ZAYYN!!" I yell across the parking lot which grabs everybody's attention. He came to my car and asked, "What?" I looked at him with an 'I need to tell you something face'. We get in my car and I look at him.
" What did you need to tell me that was so important that I had to come all the way over here?" He asked with hostility and sarcasm in his voice. "You better not tell anyone. If you tell anyone I might just have to kill you." I joked around. "Jake is gay. I wouldn't have known it because he has all the girls around him and stuff but he is gay."
Zayn started laughing at me and was actually laughing really hard about it too. I started to become not really impressed because I was serious. He looked at me and immediately stopped laughing. "Wait.........you're serious?" I nodded my head and started the car. I raised my eyebrows at him and nodded my head.
"Well there's nothing wrong with that. That's all up to him. But besides that what are you doing after school?" Zayn asked. I wanted to tell him that I'm going to plan a date for Mrs. Cole and I, but I didn't want him to think anything.
"I'm going home. I'm tired now. I think I may take a nap and then do stuff later. Bye Zayn." I quickly got out of his car and went to mine. I was really trying to get home to see where I could take Mrs. Cole. It has to be private so nobody from school sees us. Should I just make my own date?
Maybe I should. She told me she wants something relaxing so maybe......um. I just go home. I pull uni the driveway and see that everyone is home. I unlocked the door and sprinted up the stairs not caring who yelled my name. I just had to go and fix my 'friend' as soon as possible. I then went in the shower and got ready for later.
Should I? There's so many options. Don't get it a super special date? Get a special date? Get something super comfy? Then a super good idea popped into my head. Drive in movie. I grab my phone to see that Jumanji was playing at the drive in movie. It started at 6:30, it's now 3:45. I start thinking to myself about what I need for this movie. Food, drinks, blankets, candy, pillows, and A TRUCK. "Where in the hell am I gonna get a truck?" I ask myself out loud.
I smile once I figure it out. I run back down the stairs and sit right next to my dad. I rest my head on his shoulder. "Daaaddd?" I say as I look at him and use the same voice my sisters use. "What do you need it for?" He asks. I can feel my face going red. "I'm going to a drive in movie. I need it just for tonight. Pleaaasee?" He reached next to him and grabbed his keys off of the table next to him and gave them to me. "Thank you dad." I gave him a big kiss on the cheek. He laughed and pushed me off of him.
I went to the Laundry room and grabbed one really big blanket and one of the warmest blankets. Okay, now what? I think to myself a little bit before I grab the keys out of my pocket and make my way to the store. Grabbed what I needed and left. I opened the bed of the truck and place the big blanket down. I put the food in there also. I just left the drinks in the backseat. I grabbed every pillow that's in my room and in the laundry room and put them in there. I also brought a step stool. What? So she doesn't have to climb.
I text her a 5:30 saying,
"Just dress comfortable or casual. I'll be by in 15-20.

"Okay, well I live at 19843 Cedar Hill.:)"
I smiled at my phone and got in the truck. She only lives about 7-8 minutes from me put I had to go pick up some food. I was stuck between getting Nandos or Pizza. Just a relaxing date night. I picked up 2 pizzas. I didnt want them to cool down so I bought the pizza bag off of the dominos location I went to.
As I was driving down to go pick her up, this car was speeding down the road. I pulled over to the side and let it just speed by. It looked like a really expensive car. I shook my head and kept driving. Once I got there I got out of the car and right as I was about to go knock the door swung open. I was met by a beautiful pair of brown eyes.
"You ready?" She asks. I nodded my head and she closed the door. I followed after her until we got to the truck and I opened the door for her.
I realized after we started driving that I never told her where we were going but she was so comfortable in the car. There was no tension at all. It was like she didn't even really care. Like she trusted me already. But part of me was thinking that I might be speaking too soon.
"Where are we going?" I heard her ask. At the corner of my eye I could see her turned towards me.
"I just thought that we could go see a drive in movie. That's why I said to " dress comfortable. I have food and drinks in the back and blankets an-"
She cut me off my asking, " Are we seeing Jumanji?" He sounded so excited. I nodded my head. "Oh my gosh that movie looks so funny. I can't wait."
2 Hours Later
"The movie was so funny." She was laughing as we walked back to truck and I looked at I just watched. She looked so beautiful. I smiled at her. She turned and gave me a confused look.
"What are you looking at me like that for?" She asked. She stopped and gave me that look again. I walked closer to her and put my hand against her cheek. Her eyes looked so beautiful. I was leaning and then.....a car honked. We both started laughing and made our way back to the truck and enjoyed the rest of our night. BEST. NIGHT. EVER.
