"I cannot believe this is actually happening."
"This is actually happening." Claire and Rory had been going back and forth.
"I cannot believe this is actually happening!" Rory squealed. She bounced in her seat. One extremely excited jump and her head hit the top of the car. "Ow, that hurt." Rory rubbed her head. Claire and I laughed. "I cannot believe this is actually happening!" Rory recovered extremely quickly when she remembered we were going to Josh's party.
"This is actually happening." Claire drawled. She had been dreading this party ever since the moment she got invited.
"Don't worry, Claire, it will be fun!" Rory continued bouncing in her seat, despite the most recent accident caused from bouncing. This girl was more excited about going to this party than a little girl at the American Girl store. Claire groaned.
All to soon-for Claire- we reached Josh's house. Everyone was here. And people that did not even go to Frederick stood around. I parked the car and I saw Rory already half way to the door.
Well someone was excited.
Rory was wearing a completely sparkly black shirt and then wearing a floral print circle skirt. She had on black pumps that made her a million times taller. "I am still shorter that Josh in these, so it's okay."
Trust me, we had been over this.
Claire looked as adorable than ever in her blush pink clothes. She had a tulle skirt on that went to her mid calf paired with a simple white shirt. I on the other hand? I wore black jeans with a white t-shirt and a light wash denim vest. My denim vest was my favorite clothing staple.
We walked through the front gate and the front yard to the door in a line of three. When we reached the door I was the first to enter and Rory and Claire followed. Despite Rory's previous excitement, she insisted on following me. "Any requests?" I joked, turning back to the completely star struck Claire and Rory.
Rory gave me the Are-you-stupid glare.
"Josh?" I guessed. I did not wait for her answer and proceeded to find Carter. Where Carter would be, Josh would be too. Josh, Max, and Carter were inseparable. We walked around the house for a few minutes, when I realized they were not inside, I went outside. I mean, it was a celebration to celebrate the last little bit of warmth, so why not be outside? I would be.
I found the three of them surrounded by some other boys. One of them being Brandon. Carter's back was to me, but Max's was not. He noticed the three of us immediately.
"Topaz!" He called. Carter whipped around at the sound of my one-of-many nicknames. He saw me and smiled. I walked up to him and took Rory and Claire with me. As we reached the circle I became the sly best friend.
"Oh, there isn't enough room over here." I pretended to be disappointed. I took Claire and Rory's hands and dragged them to the tiny space between Max and Josh. Meticulously I placed...more like squeezed... Claire and Rory in between Max and Josh.
Claire was giving me death glares all the way around the circle. She caught on before I started to move. Rory knew entirely what was going on but she had no objections.
