Jace's pov
He held in a growl of anger as this...this small insignificant...female walked away from him.
No one ever dared look him in the eyes and here she was mocking him, trapping him in a bond he didn't want.
So he headed to his room, seething and deep in thought.
His wolf was growling at him, obviously not pleased with how he pushed his mate away and he had to fight him for dominance.
After a couple of hours, there was a knock on the door, bringing him out of his turmoil.
"Permission to enter, alpha."
It was Tommy.
"Come in" he replied sternly.
As soon as Tommy entered, Jace knew that he was having an internal battle on how to tell Jace something.
He sighed and said,
"Come on Tommy. Speak up already, I know that you have something to tell me"
Tommy straightened and said,
"Me and my brother found our mates, Alpha."
"Yes well, you can bring them with you back home. However, I doubt you came only to declare this"
"Well I actually wanted to ask if our Luna was coming home with us as well"
"I do not think that is any of your business boy. Why would I want that thing around anyway. I can't even look at her, did you not see her eyes? Obviously she must be a mutt why else would she have the same color as vampires' eyes" Jace growled.
He was shocked to actually hear Tommy growl at him.
He was about to growl in authority, but Tommy beat him to it,
"Our Luna is not a mutt, alpha." He stressed, "You can't look at her as such just because of the color of her eyes. That is unfair. Our pack needs their Luna. It needs her like the body needs the heart for that is what a luna is, the pack's heart. It has for a very, very long time now. Bring her with us, please. You don't have to stay with her if you don't want to but please do not deprive us of the person we need.
You are the greatest alpha the warriors were ever honored to be ruled by, you have protected us for years and no alpha accomplished as much as you did. But the pack also needs their Luna, a motherly figure. One they would go to when faced with personal problems, one to seek advice from. Even my and Mark's mates refuse to come with us if she does not. PLEASE Alpha. Give her a chance"The look he was giving Jace was a look of distress and silent begging.
Jace might not have been planning to take the girl with him but he knew that his wolf would never accept to leave his mate, to be away and unable to protect her if necessity arose.
He could even lose his wolf.
So he just said,
"Fine, I'll go get her. Prepare the others for departure. We leave in 5 hours sharp."
Tommy sighed in relief, stood in attention and left.
Jace stood to his full height and made his way to the girl, preparing himself for the drama and tears that were sure to await, from a weakling like her.

Lionesses' pov
She sat in her room with her head in her hands.
She wasn't really surprised by her mate's reaction, who in his right mind would want to be with someone as messed up as her.
She didn't know why she even thought her luck would change now, why would anyone love her, a woman filled with scars and problems.
