Hey y'all! This chapter will be done from Pete's point of view. I just wanted to try something a little different, tell me if you like it!
I awoke and rubbed my eyes. The sun shone through my windows brightly, I glanced at the clock, 10:46. Well, lunch sounds good. I went down the stairs to see my mom and Brooklyn laughing in the kitchen, and my dad sitting in his usual chair humming as he read the newspaper. It has to be something about her, wherever she goes, the sun follows. This gloomy house is now bright and bubbly with her, leaning against the kitchen counter. I hadn't noticed that I was staring until Brooklyn smiled at me, "Good morning sleepyhead!" She grinned and walked over to me. She wrapped her arms around my waist and kissed me softly. I moved my hair to the side and kissed the top of her head. My mom spoke up, "You two have fun last night?"
Brooklyn blushed a deep crimson color and I smirked. My mom laughed and handed me a cup of coffee. We sat on the couch, "So, what are you two love birds planning on today?"
I glanced at the back of my dad's newspaper, come join us at the state fair!
I smirked, "How about the state fair?" I knew Brooklyn had a weakness for fairs, she loves everything about them! The sun, the rides, the acts, the art, the food, most importantly the food. She nodded eagerly and took another sip of her coffee. We finished and both headed back upstairs. She rushed up ahead of me, laughing her cute little head off. I chased after her, passing her with ease. I lead her into my bathroom and locked the door. I picked her up and put her onto the counter, I smiled. She held my face and kissed me deeply. I disconnect our lips and turned on the water in the shower. We both got undressed and hopped in.
"I didn't get to say anything last night, but these tattoos are awesome." She said, admiring the ink. She stepped closer in ran her fingers through my now black hair, " And this hairdo is cute too, makes your eyes shine." I blushed and pulled her closer.
"You look so beautiful, always." I mumbled, trying to compliment her back. She turned away, " Nice try wise guy." She smirked and took the shampoo from behind me. She put it in her hair and the suds from the soap slid down her back gracefully, I couldn't help but stare. She turned around and handed me the bottle. As she rinsed out her hair as I applied the soap to mine. Suddenly, she started humming, is that my song? She's humming to a Fall Out Boy song!'
I freaked out a little, blushing badly. We got out of the shower and dryer each other off. She pulled out he rbag of makeup and hair stuff. She told me what it all did and what it was for as she applied it. She dried her hair and straightened it. I towel-dried my hair and kissed her head, "Mind helping me out?"
She mailed and blow-dried my hair, straightened it, and applied my eyeliner for me.
"Your eyes are so beautiful, you now that?" She said as she smudged it. She stepped away and admired her work, she grinned and nodded. I smiled back and thanked her for using her talent on me, of course, I said this sarcastically. We left the room and got dressed in my room, sunshine hot on our backs. She put on a pair of modest shorts and a flowing, black, tank top. She smiled as I put on a black shirt and black skinny jeans. She picked this out for me because apparently, I have no fashion sense. We left the house after saying goodbye to my parents. I started the car as Brooklyn turned on the radio...
Good afternoon! Today we are playing music that came from your town! Chicago! Next up we have Fall Out Boy!
I grinned and began to drive. To my surprise, Brooklyn sang along. She closed her eyes and seemingly savor end the music. "Ah, these lyrics are amazing!"
I blushed, "I write them.." She sat up, "Really?!?", I nodded.
We pulled into the parking lot and I opened the car door for her, "M'Lady." I said sarcastically.
We walked hand-in-hand through the fair. Brooklyn pointed at rides she wanted to do, and of course, we did them. She was so daring when it came to roller coasters, she had no fear. I on the other hand, was shaking like a dog. But she held my hand and laughed hysterically throughout the entirety of all the rides. Her laugh was so joyful and free. We ate pretzels and watched the acts of the various Beatles cover bands and traveling Chinese acrobatic shows. She looked so happy, she made forget all the times I had wished for death, she makes me happy. She skipped like a child through the fair, laughing and smiling. It was getting pretty late as we walked back to the car. Brooklyn could barely keep her eyes ope, as I drive home. The car's headlights pierced through the darkness and I drove up the driveway. I looked over at Brooklyn as I stopped the car, she was fast asleep. I smiled and picked her up. I opened the door and slake duo the stairs, whispering a good night to my parents. I laid her in my bed and crawled in next to her. She groaned slightly and cuddled up to my side. I held her close as my eyes slowly began to shut.
