One day Steve's humans had uncovered a mirror for which Steve noticed soon after.
The curious little lemur cat had stumbled upon a strange wall one day. As he walked past it's shiny and reflective surface, he noticed something following his movements. With his tail up in the air, he turned his head back to face this strange looking wall. To his surprise, the creature on the other side was a lemur cat like him. He didn't know there were others. He thought he was the only one. But when he moved towards it, the creature moved too! It followed all of Steve's movements, it even froze when Steve froze.
Steve did not like this new creature mimicking everything he did. He knew if this new creature entered His house, then Juliet would sure to fall for him and reject Steve. He needed to show him who's the male alpha around this house. So, getting onto his hind legs, Steve puffed out the fur on his back and let out a noise that was a combination between a growl and a hiss. Steve was usually a calm and friendly lemur cat, but something about this situation aggravated him. As he moved, he saw the creature do the same. This was not over. He would become victorious!
Steve came back the next day, he had hoped the creature would be gone. But he was wrong. So, he decided to trick the creature into leaving. Maybe if he scared it enough, it would go away.
Putting his plan in motion, Steve pulled a purple blue sock over the tip of his tail. This sock was one his humans had made for him, it wasn't too big or too small, and on either side of its "head" it had a sparkly navy button hand sewn on. Moving carefully, he snuck up onto the wall and stuck his tail out towards the weird wall. He thought for sure that he had scared the creature behind the strange wall, but to his surprise when he looked. It too had a sock puppet on its tail. Their sock looked like his sock, maybe the creature had stolen his sock's partner just to try to counter his plan. Leaving the wall for the day, Steve would try to find another way to scare off that creature.Steve had thought of the perfect plan. Sitting in front of the strange wall, he stared at the other creature.
He would quickly sneak away and climb up the wall. From where he was, he could not see the creature, so he assumed that it has stayed there or left. He was still going to go forward with his plan.
From the wall, he would climb to the ceiling. Now being a lemur cat, he had sharp claws and an excellent grip. Steve attached himself to the ceiling and snuck his way to the weird wall. He would be looking down at the floor looking for where the creature had been sitting, oddly enough Steve could not see his look alike. As he arrived at the wall, he looked forward and almost jumped, for the creature stood in front of him. It had copied his plan.Steve sighed, the creature was just as curious as he was. He decided that the creature in the strange wall was alright. After climbing down from the ceiling, Steve sat in front of his new friend and smiled. Maybe having a twin of him around wouldn't be so bad, he could get his human to feed him twice! The little lemur cat was pleased, he had a new friend that was just like him. He was not alone.
The end.
