You were a shield agent of level 9 you knew everything you wanted to know about the avengers, shield, and any operation but you had no idea why Director Fury was calling you into his office. You knew you were in trouble but you couldn't get nervous, " (F/N) (L/N) doesn't get nervous," you kept repeating over and over in your head. You were just running a hand over your short (H/C) hair when Fury opened his office door. His one eye always seemed to be glaring at all the agents but the way he spoke made you even more on edge.
"Agent (L/N) come in, I was just finishing lunch" Fury seemed to sneer. "Oh s--- he found out" you thought as you flashed back to the time you told half the field agents Director Fury ate the souls of helpless agents. It was just for fun but the agents started freaking out when Agent Barton chimed in simply saying, "Yeah that's what happened to Coulson" you and Clint had a good laugh after that. But now you weren't laughing as you entered Fury's office.
Fury's office was completely grey and looked actually comfy not what you expected from Fury. "Agent do you now why I called you in here?" Fury stated immediately getting to the point and snapping you out of your thoughts. "No sir" you softly but firmly answered. "I noticed on your last mission report you called your partner a, what was it again". You chuckled softly as you remembered what you called your partner on your last mission assassinating a ruthless dictator in Africa who was forcing people to mine for diamonds in horrible conditions.
(A/N this situation is happening in Africa but the Agents interfering are fake) Your partner had made a mistake in the date your target made an appearance so you completely missed him. So to try to salvage the mission you broke into his mansion and your partner shot him but he forgot to put a silencer on his gun so the shot sound ran out through the mansion and you and your partner had to fight your way out of the mansion, he got shot in the side of his leg, you got a small cut on your bicep but managed to get out of the continent with yourself and your partner alive.
"I called him an incompetent ********* " you answered fighting to hold back a smirk. The director smirked and said, "well he was, so to fix that I've assigned you a new partner who will be allot more competent".
You let out a sigh of relief knowing that you wouldn't get fired you loved this job. "Who exactly would be my new partner Director Fury?" You secretly hoped it would be Clint, you and him were like brothers but you got very few missions together. "Well Agent (L/N) I want you to meet her at briefing for your next mission" Fury smugly said. "She???" was the first thing you thought Fury knew you didn't work well with female agents you didn't know why it was just that every mission you went on something always went wrong the mission failed or you ended up in the infirmary or the hospital usually it ended up being both.
You felt the sweat come back on your (H/C) hair, "Sir I don't thinks that's a good call paring me with a female agent" Fury glared at you even more, "Are you questioning my authority (L/N)?" Fury growled, "No sir" you squeaked. "Good, is that all" Director Fury said silently daring you to say anything so he could end your life. "Yes sir, by the way when is the next mission briefing?" you asked clearly nervous. Fury almost smiled, almost "In two hours Agent down in the briefing room" Fury said evilly you stood and he dismissed you. Just when you were about to leave Fury stopped you and said, "Oh agent one more thing"
You turned around and replied, "Yes?" Fury gave you a look of pure, well fury and answered, "Your soul is my first soul
to take but not my last, NOW LEAVE!!!" he screamed.
You got out of that office a look of pure shock on your face," So this is punishment" you thought before you were stopped once again by Agent Coulson who said only, "The director wanted me to give you a badge with your code name on it so I'm here to give you it". You nodded as he handed you a new S.H.I.E.L.D. badge that had the S.H.I.E.L.D logo and the name (N/N) in red letters on the bottom obviously referring to your skill set. "Great"(sarcastic tone) is the last thing you thought as you entered the elevator and headed for the training room to work off your anger with Steve.
