I awoke to sunlight streaming through the little holes in the tent. I made it through the night, I was actually left alone. For once. I very slowly unzipped the flap, and popped my head out. Sunlight burned my eyes and made me squint. Through my half open eyes I saw it laying in the grass about 5 feet away from my face. I fell back on my heels and let out a small shout. Please be dead. please be dead. Please, please, please. I picked up my knife from beside my sleeping bag and slowly crawled towards the opening. I could still hear it's faint breathing. You have no idea how hard it is to gather up enough courage to even stick one foot out of the tent. Knife in hand, I carefully placed my knees on the grass. Just get it over with. Bringing myself closer and closer to the body. I brought one arm up, closed my eyes, and thrusted my arm back down as fast as I could. Opening my eyes, I found that I had penetrated straight through it's skull. I held my breath and started wiggling the knife, trying to get it loose. "Ugh... Just... Come on!" The blade all of a sudden was released and I fell backwards, hitting my head on a rock.

I woke up to the sight of an orange sky. Crap! I was out for hours. Night was coming, so I quickly got to my feet and took a step towards the tent.

"Oh. You're finally up." I turned my head to find someone sitting by the fire.

"W-who are you?" I felt myself stumble over words, not knowing what to do next. My instinct was to run, but night was coming and my knife was over by where I had fallen. My knife.

"Just sit back down. I'm not going to hurt you." I slowly sat down by the flames, eyeing my knife which laid in the grass just 6 feet away. All I'd have to do is throw myself onto my side and grab it. It would be worth the risk. I saw him look up at the sky and decided that now was my chance. Go! As fast as I could, I jumped up and threw myself over towards the knife. I grabbed ahold of it and quickly turned around, facing him.

He had a gun pointed at me and said, "Well it's nice to meet you too. My name is Aaron."
