The Panthera Sisters

Prologue

          The sound of people running around made Yvonne wake up from her sleep. She started to move around in her bed. Something doesn’t feel right. She thought. Her eyes opened when the door of her chamber opened, and a familiar scent met her nose, calming her. 

“Yvonne, wake up honey.” Her mother’s voice rang in her ears, making Yvonne get up.

“What happened, mother?” She asked.

Her mother wasted no time in telling her. “The castle is under attack. We cannot hold them any longer; the front gate can only hold them off for another thirty minutes.”

Yvonne gasped when she heard the news. The dream was true. She snapped out of her thoughts when her mother spoke again.

“Yvonne, I want you to bring all your sisters to the back of the castle. Vance will wait for you there, and take you girls to safety.”

She nodded, listening intently to her mother’s instructions. “What about you, mom? You cannot expect us to leave you behind.”

Her mother smiled at her, proud that her daughter was growing up. “Yvonne, from right now, I want you to take over my responsibilities to watch over your sisters, making sure that they behave. Don’t forget that you all are Panthera’s and your father and I always love you.

Her words struck like lightning. “Oh my god! Dad! Mom, where is dad?” Yvonne asked her mom. But before her mother could answer, a sudden voice rand in her head.

“My daughters...” Her dad’s voice rang in Yvonne’s head and she believed that her sisters could hear him too. “I want all you girls to go with Vance to a safe place and follow his instructions.”

Vance is Yvonne’s father’s right hand, one of his most trusted people.

“Yvonne…”

“Yes dad?” She answered him, using her mind.

“I want you to take care of all your sisters and I know that you will do it perfectly. And honey, remember, don’t waste any more money on cars. Okay, darling?”

Yvonne couldn’t help but smile at her father’s words. “Yes, dad.” She answered, the sadness clear in her voice.

 “Yvanne…”

Yvonne’s second sister’s voice rang in their heads. “Yes, dad?”

“I want you to support Yvonne and help her because I know that she will never share her worries with other people, and try to solve it herself. I want you to support her as much as you can and help her with your sisters. Yvanne, try to get out from your shell, because I know you can do amazing things and sweetie, come out from your room once in a while.” Dad laughed a little at the last words.

“Okay, dad… Promise us that you will take care of yourself.” Yvanne answered.

They were silent for a moment, before their father spoke. “Yes, Sir!” Their father answered with a soldier tune.

“Yvalle…” Their father said, asking for his third daughter.

“Daddy, don’t leave us! I don’t want to go, I can fight! All of us can fight, remember? You taught us to.”

Their father laughed. “Hold on, feisty! I know you can fight, and you are one hell of a fighter. But this time I want you to listen to me, okay? I want you to support your sisters, and don’t being any trouble. Help them release some tension, because I know you can do that, and sweetie, don’t pick a fight with them.”

“Yes, father…” Yvalle answered, sobbing.

“Lastly, my beautiful twins, Yvetter and Yvanne. Don’t fight with each other and listen to your sisters. Yvette, don’t pick a fight because I know you well, if you don’t involve in a fight, once a week, you will not sleep peacefully. Yvanna, please take care of your twin, because even though you are the youngest, you are more responsible.”

“Yes, daddy.” Yvette and Yvanna answered.

 “Yes Father….” Yvalle answer with sob in her voice.

“Alright girls, it’s time to go.” Their mother’s voice rings in their heads.

Yvonne gets off from her bed, and goes to her wardrobe to get a change of clothes and a few important things in her bag. After a few minutes, she came out from her chamber with her mother standing next to her. They rushed to the gate where Vance was waiting for them. A few minutes later, all her sisters came running with guards surrounding them. On seeing them, Yvalle ran to her mother, followed by the twins and Yvanne. Their mother hugged all of them.

“Go now.” Their mother, reluctantly pushed all the girls towards the car, her eyes moist with tears.

Suddenly, there was a growl behind her mother’s back. There were three big wolves, ready to attack. Two wolves attacked the guards and in no time, three guards got ready to fight, while two guards stuck next to the queen. Vance tried to join the fight, but their mother (the Queen) pushed him, and ordered him to take her daughters to safety. Vance nodded, and got into the car along with the girls. Once the car started moving, all the girls started crying, staring at the fight taking place. At the front gates, around two hundred shifters were fighting with each other; dead bodies covering every inch of the ground. A scream of pain was heard, and all the girls turned their heads towards the source of the sound. They stopped crying when their eyes met their fathers. The father was relieved when he saw his daughters.

“Be brave.” Those were the last words, which their father sent to his daughters before shifting into one massive tiger, or also known as PANTHERA.
