Chapter 12

Recap:

Before she could answer him, Yvonne replied on behalf of her. “They have an emergency so we decided to go camping instead.”

Chris nodded. “Come on, I want you to meet Leo.” Chris said to Yvalle, pulling her towards a man behind him. “Yvalle, Leo. Leo, Yvalle.”

“Hi..” Yvalle said to Leo, but he didn’t respond. “Hello?!?” Yvalle waved her hand in front of his face, but Leo wasn’t moving, staring into something. Yvalle and Chris notice this, and follow his gaze, seeing that he was staring at Yvanne. Yvanne was also in the same condition as him. Mate!! Both of them said in their mind.

Flashback

Chris’ POV

I get out from the car and walk towards the pack house.

“Hey, what’s up, bro?” Leo said when I entered the living room. He was reading some paper work.

“Beat.” I said and jumped towards the sofa.

“Why?” He asked, put down his paper and walked towards the mini refrigerator, pulling out a beer.

“Yvalle is not going to be here this weekend. She is going to visit her relatives.” Leo through a beer towards me and I quickly caught it, taking a sip.

“Come on! It’s just for a weekend. I’m sure you’ll be fine.” He said, sitting next to me.

“Probably, but I already miss her and it’s not even a day yet!” I said, looking at the watch.

Leo laughed at me. “Bro, you got caught really badly.” He said and patted my shoulder, still laughing.

“Shut up! We’ll see how you are when you find your mate.” I said, and drank the beer, watching the TV that was turned on.

“Yeah, but maybe not as bad as you got. I’m going to enjoy my life first.” He said. Among the three of us, Leo didn’t really care about his mate. He is the kind who goes with the flow. He also has this bad guy kind of vibes. It’s not that Leo doesn’t want a mate; he just doesn’t want to rush it. It’s different for Alex and me. We looked forward to find our mate.

“So, what are you doing?” I asked him, looking at the papers he was holding.

“Really? You are asking me what I’m doing?” He looked at me with disbelief. “Paper works, dumbass. Yours and Alex’s.” He said, hitting my head with the papers.

I smiled, sheepishly. “Oh, sorry!” I said, rubbing my head. “I owe you one, Leo.”

“You better.” He said and continued checking the paper. Leo was helping me out with the paperwork so that I could spend more time with Yvalle.
