*one month later*

Bri's P.O.V.

“So we’ll meet you two there at seven?”

“Sure.”

“Okay, see you then,” Liam hangs up first.

I put my phone down and head upstairs to my bedroom. What should I wear? I look through all my clothes before choosing my outfit. I get changed and walk into the bathroom to work with something I call hair. Out of all the days it decides today to be a pain and have knots everywhere.

“Who was that?” Jess calls out from her bedroom. She was reading a book.

“Liam,” I call back to her trying to contain my excitement, “you and I are heading out to that new club in town with him tonight!”

Jess immediately appears at my door, “Just Liam?”

“Well, Niall too, but-”

She interrupts me with her groans. She had really lost respect for Niall since that night of the meet and greet.

“Why would you say I would go with you?”

“Please Jess! I didn’t want to go with Liam by myself. Plus Niall wants to see you apparently… just do this one solid for me please!!”

She groans, “fine. But I’m doing this for you, not Liam, not Niall, you!” she goes off to get ready.

I picked out one of my favourite dresses. A light-pink lace dress with some high heels. I needed some height right? I love this dress so much that I hardly wear it, but tonight’s different. Jess comes back wearing a light blue, black and white striped dress with her black high heel shoes.

“Excuse me Miss Jess but are you actually putting in effort to your outfit?”

“No I am not Miss Bri, this old rag of a thing was at the back of my wardrobe, and these shoes I’ve had forever.” I expect her to stop there, but she continues, “Niall’s an absolute dickhead, he has not stopped texting me. Does he just expect me to fall head over heels in love with him?” she leans on the door and watches me do my hair.

Neither of us say anything; there wasn’t anything to add. And even if I wanted to say anything it would end up me going to the club myself because she would have locked herself in her room, and that is the last thing I want tonight...I’m far too nervous to go by myself.

“But you darling, you have a boy to impress.” Jess changes the subject, “Mr. Payne and you have not stopped talking for the month, and maybe you two will start dating, and then you’ll get married and then you’ll have-”

“Stop right there missy! As much as I would love that, that will never happen. We’re both in completely different leagues,” I brush through the thick, knotty strands of my hair, “plus he lives in England, and I’m not really fond of long distance relationships if he even asked.”

“So you’re trying to tell me that if Liam asked you to be his girlfriend you would say no?”

“Well when you put it like that…”

“You would say yes!! You’ve been talking to him non-stop for the past month. I am one hundred and ninety seven percent sure that you would date the living shit out of his face!!”

“Yeah, you’re right” I agree, and Jess and I both laugh.

“Well my hair is brushed” I continue the conversation.

“You gonna put on make-up?”

“I will but not much. I like being natural” I start putting on my mascara and some lip gloss, and Jess walks off and down the stairs.
