Emma's P.O.V

"Emma wake up!" I head Alexis say. "'Huh? What?" I said slightly confused. Then I remembered that we were in New York. "Emma if you don't get up we're going to be late to breakfast!" "I'm getting up!" I groaned.

Reluctantly, I got up and went to curl my hair. I took a while because my hair is almost to my waist.  Then, I put on a baby blue crop top, white jeans, and my white high-top converse and headed down to the restaurant to meet the rest of the class for breakfast.

After breakfast we all got onto the bus. We visited the empire state building first and then we got to hang out at central park for a couple hours. After that, it was time for the rangers game. I was so excited! I still can't believe I met Danny Wheeler last night!

The teacher handed us our tickets as we walked into security. Alexis and I found our seats. They were right behind the penalty box. I could literally talk to the players if I wanted to. I feel like I've been here before but that's not possible. Still, it seems so familiar like how I felt when I met Danny.

Me and Alexis got some food and than sat back down in our seats. I was only able to stay for the first two periods because I had to go prepare for my concert that was this evening. Everyone on the trip. I'm kind of nervous because I've never preformed in front of kids from my school before. I mean I have but I didn't know they were there. It's a lot more nerve racking knowing that they are in the crowd watching you.

Half through the second quarter Danny got put in the penalty box for slamming a guy into the boards. In my opinion the guy was asking for it. Danny sits down in the penalty box and after about a minute he turns around and looks at me. "Hey aren't you the girl from the restaurant last night?" he asks.

Danny's P.O.V

"Hey aren't you the girl from the restaurant?" I ask. She stares at for a second looking slightly stunned. Crap, I hope I don't have the wrong girl because that could be awkward. "Ya that's me," she finally says. Phew, I did have the right girl after all. I noticed she was wearing a copy of my jersey. "What's your name?

"Emma," she says. "Emma Wheeler," Wait. What? No that can't be possible! I'm about to respond but the power play is over and I'm needed back on the ice. Reluctantly I wave good-bye to her and get back on the ice.

I kept playing but for the rest of the game I couldn't stop thinking about Emma. Could that really be her? The next thing I knew a guy skating at me full speed and I blacked out.

Riley's  P.O.V

I had to leave for Em's concert soon because I managed to get the job but I wanted to see a little bit more of Danny's game. He was sitting in the penalty box talking to a girl in the seat behind the box. She looked about thirteen. There was something familiar about her but I couldn't figure out what it was.

Danny waved to the girl and left the penalty box but he looked slightly dazed. For the next few minutes Danny seemed completely out of it. Suddenly, the puck was on Danny's stick but he didn't seem to realize. One of the other team's players was skating at Danny full speed.  "Danny look out!" I cried, but it was too late.

The medics took unconscious Danny off the ice. I wanted to go down to the locker room to see him, but I had to leave for the concert. I'm sure he would be okay. He always is.

I left the rink in my car and drove to where Em was preforming. When I got there I showed the security guard the pass they emailed me and he let me in. I was in charge of making sure Em was always on stage on time. Simple enough. I went to her dressing room and knocked on the door.

"Come in!" she said. I opened the door and came in. She turned to face me. Hey! She's the girl that was talking Danny! Wow. She was even prettier up close. Her shining blonde hair was curled in perfectly loose ringlets. She was wearing black mascara that made blue eyes seems even bluer. Her blue eyes had these little flecks of gold in the kind of like...Ben.

"He I'm Em, but you can call me Emma," she says. "I'm Riley," I say. I'm about to ask her if her last name by any chance is Wheeler but my phone beeps telling me it was time to get her stage. "Let's get you on stage," I say. She nods and follows me out of the dressing room towards the stage.

She was wearing short black leather shorts, a white flowy crop top, and black high heel boots that went up to a little above her knee. She was gorgeous. If she was Ben's daughter, then Ben certainly did a great job raising her.

She was on stage right  on time and the concert went perfectly. She was really talented. The show was finally over and she came off stage. I heard a creaking noise above me, but I ignored it. Emma comes off and starts walking towards me. I was about to ask if her last name was Wheeler, but I heard a snap above and a man yell "Look out!" but it was too late. One of the lights came crashing down and hit Emma in the head. She was out cold.

I quickly dialed 911 and the ambulance was there in two minutes. The security guard said to ride in the ambulance with to the hospital.  In the ambulance I call Mrs.Wheeler to tell where I am going because she works at the hospital now she went back to school and got a degree in nursing.

"Hello?" she picks up. "Mrs.Wheeler I'm on the way to hospital. I was working at a concert tonight and the girl Em had an accident." I say. "Oh! Well I'll try to stop by but I'm a little with Danny. The ambulance brought him in a couple hours ago." she said. "Is he okay?" I ask. "He's fine they just want to make sure there is no permanent head damage and they want to keep him overnight." "Okay," I say. I gotta go we are just pulling up.

They wheel Emma out of the ambulance and into the hospital where they take into a room. It's one of those rooms where two people share it and it's divided with a curtain. I don't pay attention to the guy in the first half the room at first but then I hear: "Riley?" and I turn to see Danny in the bed. "What happened?" he asked and I explained about the concert and how the light fell on her head.

Then one of the doctors came up to me. "Ma'm, the girl's dad was called and he should be here in a couple hours, but until then you must wait with her. She can't be here without an adult. I nod. I was to spaced out and didn't really here what he said. I go to the other side of the curtain to see Emma awake. "Hey," I said. "Hey," she smiled. I wanted to ask about her last name but now didn't seem like the best time. "I'm gonna be on the other side of the curtain. I have a friend on the other side. Is that okay?" I ask. "That's fine. Is your friend okay?" "I'm sure he's fine," I smile and walk over to Danny's side.
