It was getting late and I had always liked to take late night walks. I wasn't worried about anything because I decided to carry one of my switch blades that night, so I could defend myself. I pulled on a black hoodie and some shoes and started walking. I walked for some time when I started to have the feeling that I was being watched. I shrugged it off, thinking I just had that feeling because I was alone late at night. I walked for another good hour and I decided it was time to head back. As I was heading back, the feeling that I was being watched was overwhelming. I was getting quit paranoid at this point, and kept looking around frantically. I started walking faster, when I eventually broke out in a full sprint back home.
I made it back to my house in what I would call record time. I unlocked the door and bolted inside wanting to get away from whatever was watching me out there. Once I had shut the door again and locked it, I felt much safer. I walked over to the couch and flicked on the TV. I went through the channels and none of them interested me. My phone buzzed, so I went to go check it, thinking that someone texted me. Nobody had posted anything, nor texted me. Not a thing on Instagram, Twitter, or even Facebook. I was starting to get a little creeped out again, knowing that my friends always post 24/7.
I wanted to check the house when the same unnerving feeling of being watched took over my mind again. I didn't want to leave the couch, but what was I so afraid of? This place is my own house. I was thinking about this when I realized I hadn't even taken off my shoes yet. At least the front door was close to the couch, but I didn't want to go near there. I just kicked my shoes off and left them where they landed. I was too lazy to put them under the couch. I sat there, on the couch, for atleast an hour before I heard something, or someone, walking upstairs, right above me.
I started panicking, if something was watching out there when I took my walk, had it followed me home? Maybe I'm just hearing things because I'm tired. I started to calm down a bit. I looked at the time and it was 1:38 am. No wonder I was having auditory hallucinations and getting random feelings of paranoia. I was exhausted! I got up off the couch, completely forgetting about the noise I had heard earlier. I walked upstairs and made it to my bedroom. When I shut the door I started to hear footsteps charging towards my door. That woke me up.
With adrenaline suddenly flooding my body, I quickly locked the door and made sure it was securely shut. I made my way over to my bed and picked up the nearest weapon I could find, which was a plank of wood. I have been waiting here for nearly an hour listening to the wails and the banging on my door. I'm writing this from my computer, and am terrified. I have already called the police, they should've been here 20 minutes ago, I'm still waiting. I want to warn you, never go out at night as late as I did, for something might follow you home, and it just might not be good, either.
