One night I was called by my best friend to go over to her house. I was kinda suspicious because normally she would tell me why she wanted me to come over, but alas, I obliged. I threw on my coat and put on my shoes and started heading to my friends house. She lived atleast a good mile or two away from my house. As I was walking, I looked around and thought of all of the possible scenarios that she wanted me to come over for. After about 20 minutes of just pure walking, I finally reached her house. I noticed that there were more cars than usual parked outside of her house.

I didn't bother knocking, and I just walked right inside her house. She wouldn't care anyways. I took off my shoes, and looked around the nicely constructed house. I called out for her but she didn't answer. Then I heard someone shush someone else. I knew they were hiding, "Hmmm... I wonder where they are!" I said out loud, which then apparently triggered something because they all sprung out. I jumped back slightly because someone appeared right in front of me. It looked like they had fallen from the ceiling.

I looked up and indeed saw a trapdoor to where, and then I saw a rope? I looked back down and I saw that the person that just dropped was a dead corpse. I backed up and my back hit the door. I looked around and saw that all of the people that had jumped out were just corpses. I spied my best friend in the corner of the room. Were these all people that had come for whatever this surprise was supposed to be? I wasn't gonna stay to find out. I ripped the door open and ran all the way back to my house.

I didn't dare look back, in fear that I might see who, or whatever did that awful crime. I made it back to my house in about 5 minutes. That was a record. I grabbed my keys, found the right key and shoved it in the keyhole. I successfully opened the door and ran inside. I slammed it shut and quickly locked it. I ran upstairs and locked my bedroom door. I sat down on my bed, and tried to forget what I had just witnessed.

I looked outside my window to check that nobody followed me home. I didn't see anything, so I shut the curtains and proceeded to try to calm my mind. I noticed that I hadn't even taken my shoes off, I was so hurried. I kicked my shoes off and laid down on my bed. I tried to fall asleep, when I heard scratching at my window. I went over to it and peeked through the curtains. I didn't see anything, but when I looked down I saw the most horrific sight ever.

I saw my best friend sprawled across my lawn. I could see that she was slightly breathing though. I quickly ran to the door of my room, unlocked it and ran to the front door. I unlocked it also and ran outside to my front yard. I picked her up and brought her inside. I laid her down on the couch, good thing she wasn't bleeding, she seemed like she was internally hurting. I grabbed my phone and dialed 911.
"911, what's your emergency?"

"Hello, sir, yes, can you send an ambulance over here? I just found my best friend dying on my front lawn, she seems as if shes hurting on the inside since I can't see any wounds on the outside of her body." I replied.

"Ok, thank you ma'am, an ambulance is on the way. Please, hang in there."

"Thank you," I said back and then I hung up. Not even 2 minutes later I heard sirens in the distance.

The paramedics were on their way. I heard the sirens getting closer every second, then I saw them right outside my house. I saw them rush out and come up to my door. I opened it and they rushed in, putting my friend on a stretcher. That was 3 days ago. I haven't heard from the hospital or my best friend since. I'm going over to the hospital today to see how she's doing. Wait, I see something outside my window.. what is that? It looks like it disappeared. Ok, that was odd... I'm about to head out the door to see how she's doing. Let's see if she's dead yet.
