Before I start this story, this is based off of whats happening to me in real life. I've been hearing things scratching in my walls and ceilings only at night and its starting to freak me out. This particular chapter is going to be updated the more I find out, so be expecting this chapter to keep getting updated. Now, lets get on with the story.

It was a day like any other. I got up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, went through my daily routine and then went to sleep. When I was about to fall asleep, however, I heard this peculiar scratching noise coming from the wall my bed is beside. I got up out of bed, thinking it was a mouse, and went to the kitchen to grab some mouse traps. I came back and the scratching has stopped. I laid the mouse traps and then went back to my bed. I tried to think of why a mouse would come to my room and then I came to the most logical explanation, I had birds and so t=he mouse would be able to eat the bird seeds and survive.

After I had settled on that explanation, I laid down and started falling asleep. I started hearing the scratching again. It started moving. It was by my bed one second, and then in the ceiling the next, all the while scratching. I was starting to think that this was bigger than a mouse, much bigger. I lay there, wondering what it must be. I would tell my mother in the morning, as for now it was too late. The entire house was silent besides the occasional snore from the cat.

My mind crossed many things it could be, such things as a rat, a squirrel, a raccoon, somehow a bird? It could be any one of those things, I just wouldn't know which. I finally got to sleep. The next day I woke up, and remembered the scratching from the previous night. I stayed quiet and tried to listen for it again. I heard nothing. I decided that it was just a dream and got up. My parents had already left for work so I decided I would just wait it out.  I went about my daily routine, eating, skyping my friends, and everyday things that an average person would do.

And then nighttime came. I laid awake like any other night, and waited for the scratching to begin. After a few minutes, it came subtly, but I could still hear it. I sat still for what seemed like hours but was only a few minutes, just listening. I then got up out of bed, turned the light on and started listening more closely to see exactly where in my ceiling it was coming from. I followed the scratching noise and it seemed too fast to be a mouse either. I walked around my room, chasing the scratching for about 10 minutes straight.

I'm still waiting for it to set off one of the traps I set, or for my cats to pick up on it. For now however, I'm just going to wait it out and see if it comes out on its own.
