Revision Of The Plan

Kayla called me when I was cooking dinner before Malyssa got home from her job at Starbucks.

"Let's move the engagement to a couple weeks into summer vacation," she said. I agreed with her on that part.

We got done with the call before Malyssa walked into the doors of the apartment building. It's already been a month since Kayla and I started plotting. Every day, I tried to keep from spilling the beans to my future fianceé. So far, it was a success. On some days, it was harder to keep my mouth shut.

I cooked some chicken Alfredo for the two of us, and Malyssa asked, "what did you do with this?! You're better at cooking chicken Alfredo than I am!"

I laughed, and said, "make sure you're here at two in the afternoon, and you'll know."

"It's so creamy. You did an excellent job, Jim!"

At one point, I was so close to letting the "evil" plan slip out of my tongue.

"What were you going to say? Ya got something to share with me?" Malyssa asked. I froze for a moment.

"My mom and I talked about the trip to Idaho a few years ago. We were specifically talking about how my dad's four-wheeler rolled over, and he slipped out and yelled, 'that was the greatest feeling in my entire life!'" I said quickly after she asked.

"Oh yeah. I would've been scared out of my mind if that happened to me!"

That was an epic save!

Malyssa then told me she was going to go grocery shopping. I said my farewells to her, then looked down from the balcony to make sure she wasn't snooping in on my conversations with Kayla. She went into her car, and in thirty seconds, she was nowhere to be seen.

I called Kayla once again, and asked her if anything else needed to be revised.

"No. Since I'm looking at how the plan will go down in Malyssa's view, everything should be okay."

I was happy to hear that.
