I poked my head through the door to find a simple hallway. The walls were blue with a white trim. The floorboards shined dark mahogany all the way down the winding stairs adjacent to the two doors on the other side. I laid one foot outside the door, then the other, then the other. Making my way down the stairs until I stumbled upon a modern living room.

"I'm in here!"

I heard Indigo from a room away.
Following her voice, I found myself in a kitchen. There she was leaning on the counter, quickly spooning cereal into her mouth.
"Hey, JK,"
"Hello, Indigo,"
I waited for her next command.
"You can sit down if you want, JK,"
I grabbed the nearest chair and positioned myself accordingly. About 20 seconds went by with nothing but the sound of the spoon colliding with the bowl. She looked up at me and started giggling. Another joke that I did not understand.
"What is so funny, Creat- Indigo?"
"You keep looking at me with that serious face!" She giggled until she couldn't anymore.
"Serious? I am only waiting for instruction,"
"I know, I know. Ah, robots are so adorable," she said more to herself than to me.
I tilted my head still not understanding the
meaning of her actions. What was humorous about her adoration for robots? The sound of the bowl being put in the dishwasher filled my sensitive ears.
"Let's go for a drive, JK," Indigo makes her way to the door.
I stood eagerly and rushed to open the door for her.
"After you," I say.
"I see the 'manners simulation program' is working correctly, that's good to know," she makes a mental note as we walk through the door. The neighborhood was close-knitted and urban.
I felt Indigo fashion her arm around mine.
"This is how how groups of two walk together,"
She took the lead and we left her porch.
The buildings surrounding the home were almost skyscrapers, the sound of a city under growth was apparent. She made her way to a dark blue car and stamped her handprint on the door handle before it unlocked in front of both of us.
I was fascinated with the detail in the machinery, even more fascinated in the way she so nonchalantly operated the vehicle after we were both seated.

When she started driving, I saw a new world of motion. Life seemed to move by so quickly as everyday people came and vanished into the gradient of a never ending film.
