"So, what did you want to talk to me about, Master Makarov?" Sting asks, a little nervous.
Makarov said "It's about Akiko and Shiro. I'm transferring both of them to Sabertooth," the blonde-haired teen's eyes widen.
"What?" He asks.
He was happy that she was transferring to her guild, but she knew that Fairy Tail was her home. He was beginning to understand why she had a glum expression on her face.
Makarov said "Don't get me wrong, Sting. I love having her in Fairy Tail, but it's absolutely necessary for her to move on from her past. As much as I don't like it, I'm entrusting her to you, and her snake partner."
"But why?" He questioned.
The Master said "I'm getting there. Be patient," he breathes in. "It has to do with past. You need to know about it for you to understand the situation. I will start from the beginning."
---
A black-haired, 5 year old girl walked through the forest. Two swords in her hands, blood dripping down from them. Her hair shadowing her eyes and a dark, red aura surrounding her. A white snake wrapped around her neck, nestling against her.
---
"Have you heard about the Human Massacre? The one that began 13 years ago?" Makarov asks.
"You mean the one that had 6000 people killed in just three years?" Sting asks, the Master nods. "Yeah, I've heard about it. There's almost no one that doesn't know about it. What about it?"
The master asks "Do you know who the killer is?"
"Well, no. The council kept it a secret from the...," his voice faded away as his eyes widen in realisation. "You don't mean Akiko..."
Makarov nodded. "It's just as you suspect. At the age of 5-7, Akiko slaughtered 6000 people."
"But... Why?" Sting queried in disbelief.
---
"Ahhh!"
---
"Akiko was born in a town that many don't know about, it's called Monstralite," Makarov began. "For five of her years, she lived in happiness as the light of the town with her partner, Shiro. No one hated her, she held no darkness in her heart."
---
"Hello Akiko! How was day today?" A lady asks the young black-haired female.
The said girl smiles, and said "It was great today! Right Shiro?"
"Meh, it was average," Shiro hissed, making the two laugh.
---
"However, that didn't last for very long," Makarov continued. "Her home was massacred by a dark guild. All of her friends, family and the people she cared about, was killed right before her eyes. She was the only one left. I don't know why they didn't kill her, but that event left a scar on her heart."
---
Akiko stared in horror at the bodies before her, corpses lay every around her. Unmoving, lifeless and just plain dead. Shiro could only just sit there, unable to say anything as Akiko screamed, tears flowing down her face.
"No!"
---
"Unlike normal people, such as you and I, Monstralite citizens have something they call Inner Demons. These Inner Demons grow as they age. Everyone has them, that is true, but unlike everyone else that can gradually grow into darkness," Makarov continued. "Monstralite citizens could instantly turn dark, their light engulfed by their inner Demons. And all they have to do to get overwhelmed by their inner demons, are simply having even the smallest negative thoughts. It may be small, but if it's significant enough," his eyes darken. "They will become the darkness itself. That's what happened to Akiko."
