I saw it again. The same black figure in the shadows. I also saw the beast on the cliff and the woman with blonde hair. People say that dreams have a meaning to them. If so I have no idea what mine would mean.
"Stephanie honey time to get out of bed" Mom called. I groaned and got out of bed. I left my room and went into the kitchen and saw Mom had made pancakes.
"Morning sweetheart" Mom said and kissed me on my forehead.
"Morning Mom, morning Dad" I said and sat down at the table. Dad was reading the Sunday Telegraph and my little brother Zack was already eating.
"Morning Steph" Zack said with food still in his mouth.
"Morning" I said as I dug into my food.
"What are you doing today?" Dad asked me. I waited until I had no food in my mouth before answering.
"The girls and I have planned to head to the swimming pools for a while and then go shopping a little later. Is that alright with you guys?" I asked.
"Sure" Mom said and Dad went back to reading the paper. When I finished eating I gave Mom my plate and went to my room. I got my black one piece on and put my brown hair in a ponytail. I looked into the mirror and saw today my eyes were a chocolate brown. I sigh and brushed my teeth. I grabbed a gray jacket and packed my sports bag with my towel and sunscreen and spare clothes. There was a knock on my door and I saw Mom standing there.
"What color are they today?" she asked and I gave a weak smile.
"Brown" I said and she sighed. I grabbed my black thongs and put them on. Mom sat on my bed and looked at me.
"Did you have that same dream again?" she asked me and I nodded.
"It'll be ok sweetie" she assured me.
"What's happening to me?" I whispered. She kissed my forehead and stroked my brown hair.
"I don't know but you are still my baby girl" she said.
"Mom I'm 16. I'm not a baby anymore" I said laughing.
"You'll always be my baby" she said laughing as well. We walked out of my room and headed for the car. It was a blue BMW that we've had for two years. When Mom dropped me off at the pools I waited for my friends to arrive.
"Stephie!" I heard someone yell out and I looked to see my friend Anita running towards me and I gave her a big hug.
"Hey Anita" I said and we broke apart. She looked at my eyes and squealed.
"They're brown today! They look so good with your hair color. Not that the green or blue didn't but brown looks way better on you" she said and I smiled. Anita is one of the few people who didn't think my eye color changing thing was weird. In fact she thought it was totally awesome.
"So see anything today?" she asked me and I laughed.
"No not yet -" I started to say but my vision blurred for a bit and I could see my other friend Roxanne and her boyfriend Jake were almost at the pools and Roxanne was sending a text message to Anita.
"Steph you ok?" Anita asked and I snapped back into reality. I blinked a couple of times and Anita looked worried.
"What did you see?" she asked.
"You're about to get a text from Roxanne" I said and her phone went off. She looked at it and read the message.
"You're right as always. Roxanne said they're almost here and Patricia and Tyler will be late so just go in" she said and smiled at me. I rolled my eyes at her and we went in. We went to our favorite spot that was in half shade half sun and had chairs to lie on. I put my jacket off and put my stuff on a chair.
