Betrayed Prologue

Betrayed Chapter Two

I was in a forest. This is new to me. I looked around and didn't see anyone. It was dark and the moon was full. There was some rustling behind me and I saw a giant white wolf with green eyes come out and look at me. I stared back at him and neither one of us did anything.

"Who are you?" I asked it after a bit. It hesitated before answering me.

"My name is Naboo" it said in a deep voice and I was taken back at the fact that it answered me.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"That's what I should be asking you. This is my territory" Naboo said.

"Oh really! Then you came to tell me how to get out of here?" I asked.

"Well, how did you get here in the first place?" he asked me.

"I went to bed and fell asleep and next thing I knew I was here talking to you" I said and he chuckled.

"All you have to do then is wake up" he said.

"Ok" I said and started pinching myself. Nothing. I tried again and nothing happened.

"Having trouble?" he asked.

"No, I just thought we could talk for a bit" I lied.

"You're lying" Naboo said.

"H-How do you know that?" I stammered.

"Because I can tell when someone is lying. Just like you can tell what someone's true intentions are" he said and I was shocked. 

Neither one of us talked after that. Not even one word. Naboo laid on his stomach, put his head between his hands and fell asleep. I got bored so I wandered around the place. I walked past some trees and saw a cliff. I walked over to it and peered over the edge. It was the ocean below. It was black against the night sky but some parts had the moon's reflection. I walked away from the edge and turned around. There was a cheetah standing there and looking at me. I froze to the spot as it kept looking at me. It came closer to me and sniffed at me.

"What do you want?" I asked, my voice wavering. It looked at me and growled a bit.

"Nothing" it  purred.

"Then can you get away from me" I said.

"Oh! I can't do that. Not when you smell so delicious" it said coming even closer to me. I took a step back and saw I was near the edge of the cliff. I looked at the cheetah and it noticed my situation.

"Well it looks like you have two choices. Become my dinner" it said licking its teeth. "Or jumping over that little old cliff. Personally, I like the first option" it said to me. I looked at the cheetah and then the water below. I looked back at the cheetah with my mind made up.

"I don't want to end up in your droppings" I told it and I jumped off the cliff. 

I dived into the water and it was ice-cold. I quickly came up for air but was swept under by a wave. I kicked around for a bit and came up for air again. Only to be pulled under by another wave. I went under again and hit my head on a rock. I floated for a bit, pain all over my body. I was losing conscious when I was pulled out of the water by something. I coughed up water and blinked a couple of times. I looked up and saw Naboo there standing over me.

"What were you thinking? Why did you jump off the cliff for?" he asked me.

"It was either that or be eaten by a cheetah" I whispered and he looked shocked.

"There was a cheetah?" he asked and I nodded. I looked around and saw some more wolves and some other animals. They were all huge. There were some lions and tigers. There was also some kind of horses with angel wings on them. And some kind of fiery bird as well. Naboo saw me looking at them.
