I looked at him shocked and confused.
"What did you say?" I asked him hoping that I heard wrong.
"I'm leaving and going back to Altearion" he said. My heart dropped and I stopped breathing. We were silent as I stared at him.
"You're kidding right?" I asked and he shook his head.
"No I'm serious. I'm leaving tonight" he said. My eyes started to fill with ears but I bit my lip and refused to cry.
"But who's going to teach me to control my powers?" I asked.
"We'll be sending someone else to do that" he answered. I could feel my eyes going red with my own anger as I stared at him.
"Fine leave then I don't care what happens to you. I wish I never met you!" I screamed at him and he looked like someone stabbed him. I couldn't stand being near him any longer so I turned and ran from him. He didn't call out or even run after me so I ran even further until I couldn't see the lake or Will anymore. I took some deep breaths and tried to catch my breath when I heard a familiar voice.
"Why hello there my delicious friend" Freda said coming out from behind a tree. How someone doesn't notice a giant cheetah lurking around is beyond me.
"Freda" I whispered and glared at her.
"How rude of me, you know my name but I don't know yours" she said.
"Oh I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier, you know with you trying to kill me and all it must have slipped my mind" I said sarcastically and Freda hissed at me. I smiled and stood up properly. I could take her on, I didn't need Will to fight my battles for me.
"Where's your wolf in shining armor?" she asked me with a smirk on her face.
"I don't need Will to fight all my battles for me" I told her and she pounced at me. I dodged her kicked her stomach with some air. She flung back and hit a tree. She growled at me and I smiled. Freda got back up and ran to me and I smashed my foot on the ground waiting for some earth to come up. When it didn't I looked up Freda and she pushed me down onto the ground, with her on top. Her claws dug into my shoulders and I held back a scream. I looked up into Freda's face and saw her eyes sparkle with victory. She licked my neck and I shivered.
"The master isn't going to be happy with me eating you" she sighed.
"What are you talking about?" I asked her and struggled to get free. She put her paws deeper into my shoulders and I clenched my teeth.
"He told me to bring you back alive. He needs you for something" she said and looked back at me.
"Well how about you follow your master and let me live" I suggested and she chuckled.
"Nice try" she said and snapped her teeth close to my face. I smashed my fists on the ground and some rocks came out and hit Freda. Oh so now the earth wants to obey me! I quickly got up as Freda stood up. She hissed at me and I did something I thought I'd never do. I growled at her.
I quickly covered my mouth in shock. Freda ran towards me and I quickly jumped out of the way but I collided with a tree. My leg screamed in pain and I clenched my teeth together. Freda ran towards me again I intended to throw some air towards her but instead some white circles came out and hit her instead. I stared at my hands in shock and then I saw Freda jump into a portal and disappear. In a way I kinda felt cheated that she ran away but on the other hand I'm glad to still be in one piece. I sat down and looked at my injuries and mom was going to kill me if she saw this. I ripped a bit of my shirt and tied it around my leg. I put my blouse off because there was no way of rescuing it since it had blood and claw marks on it. After that was done and I could hide most of the blood and injuries, I went home. When I got there the cars were gone and there was a note on the front door.
