Matt stares at you, mouth hanging open in shock. "How did you do that?" He asks. You stare at the cuffs that remain on your wrists, with the broken chains hanging from them. "I don't know," you whisper. You hadn't realized how strong you were before that.
"Hey, (y/n)," Matt calls, "Could you--" "Oh yeah," you say, hurrying over to him. You squat behind him and begin to untie the ropes around his wrists. "I wonder why they tied us up differently," you say. "Maybe they thought you'd be smart enough to get out of this," Matt suggests. "Maybe," you agree hesitantly.
The ropes finally come undone. Matt stands and rubs his wrists, which are red with rope burns. "Okay," he starts. "So we saw what they did with Sean. Who knows what they did with the other two?" You shake your head. "I can only imagine," you admit. Then, something dawns on you.
"That video," you say, "was recorded in Sean's room." You look up at Matt, who's face is slowly changing with realization. "They're already in the real world." "Which means they're going to be causing some major real-world damage," Matt says. Your eyes widen. "We need to find them! We've got to find the portal!"
The two of you race toward the door. "Wait!" Matt calls. You stop and turn to him. "If Sean and Anti were at Sean's house, then where are the other four?" You think about that for a minute. "If they're at Sean's house, they're in Ireland," Matt continues. "But what if Dark and Mark are in LA? And what about Nate and Natemare?" You run your hands through your hair. "I don't know," you finally say, "but let's find a portal first, then figure the rest out as we go along."
Matt reluctantly nods as you both escape the room. The door hadn't been locked, which is nice for you. You dash down the long halls "Man, I can't get over how big this place is," Matt comments. "Keep in mind that it's also in our computers," you say. "Wow," Matt says.
You run past a room with an open door, then backtrack. "Matt!" You call. He hurries back as you enter the room. Three fuzzy screened computer monitors sit on the floor. On top of a table above them, is one more. "Now what?" Matt asks. "We don't know which one to go through."
You exhale through your mouth and examine the screens. You try to poke each one, but your hand sinks through all of them. "Okay, so they all lead somewhere, I just don't know where," you observe. Matt squats beside you and looks carefully at all the screens. He squints when he sees something.
"Do you see an image here?" He asks, pointing to the first screen. You look closer, then see a faint outline of what appears to be a room. You gasp, "It's...Sean's recording room?" "What?" He says. Your shift your vision to the next screen, and see something similar. "That one looks like Mark's," you comment. "And that one is definitely Nate's," Matt says, gesturing to the third monitor.
"But what about this one?" You ask. Matt looks hard at the fourth screen. "I don't see anything," he says. "That means it's probably either the portal to where they are, or the portal to my room," you determine. Matt looks at you. "Do you want to take the chance?" He asks. You think for a minute, then say, "It's our only option."
Matt takes your hand and the two of you step through the monitor. It wasn't easy, since the monitor was on top, but you managed. A couple of seconds later, you stumble through the portal and onto the floor. Matt falls and lands on his back beside you.
"Ow," he groans. "Are you okay?" You nod and pull yourself up. You take a look around the room. It appears that you are on the ground floor in some sort of abandoned office. "Where are we?" You ask. Matt looks to your right, out the window. "I think...New York?" He says.
You look in the same direction, and see the ocean. Stationed in it, is the Statue of Liberty. "I'd say you're right," you comment. "But...why?" Matt shakes his head in confusion. Suddenly, the ground begins to shakes beneath you. Qas it does, a loud crack of thunder can be heard. You grab onto Matt's shoulder with one hand and on the other on a computer desk behind you.
A couple seconds later, the shaking subsides. You look around curiously. "What...was that?" You ask, nervous. Matt looks out the window. "I don't know," he replies. "But I'm more concerned about the sky over there." You look in the direction he is gazing, and gasp.
The clouds are moving in, fast. They are a very dark gray colour, but it gets worse. Throughout the clouds shot coloured lightning, some of it red, some green. "Yep, I'd say they're here," Matt says, with a grim expression. "You wanna find them?" You ask. Matt glances at you. "That's why we're here," he comments. "Let's go."
The two of you hurry outside. Judging by where the lightning was shooting from, you both were able to determine the viruses' location. It's only a few buildings away. You start to run over, but are stopped by a frantic woman. "Don't go there!" She cries. "They'll kill you!" You shoot a terrified look at Matt. "We have to," he says. The woman lets out a cry and runs away.
