Mark waited until Dark had taken you away. He wouldn't have, but he knew there would be no point in trying to escape when Dark could just lock him up again thirty seconds later. Feeling kind of clever, Mark pulls out the keys that he had taken from you. Dark hadn't seen. Mark unlocks his restrained arm, and stretches it out. He then wanders over to the door and stretches his legs. Finally, he carefully unlocks the door and exits the cell.
Making sure that no one would see him, Mark walks around, trying to find the exit to the dungeon. He finds the stairway, and is about to use it, when he hears another cell door creak open, then slam shut. He hides behind the wall, and peeks out. He sees a man walking down the hall, away from him. The man is wearing all black, so Mark assumes that he's one of the viruses, but it's not Anti or Dark. Confused, Mark waits until the guy is gone, then goes to investigate. He locates the cell that the man left and tries the door. Needless to say, it's locked. Thankfully, Mark has the keys. After checking one more time to see that the cost is clear, he unlocks the door. What he sees next, shocks him.
Nate is sitting in a chairwith his arms behind his back, legs tied, and mouth gagged."Nate?!" Mark exclaims. "Mark!" Nate tries to say, but the gag muffles his cries. Mark rushes over to him and removes the gag. "What are you doing here?" Nate asks. "I'll explain later, what are you doing here?" Mark responds. "I don't know!" Nate says. "The last thing I remember was being in my apartment, trying something out on my computer, then somehow, I'm waking up in here!"
It is evident that Nate is becoming hysterical. "Nate, calm down. Evidently, you're not the only one here," Mark reassures his friend. Nate begins to relax. "What's going on? Who else is here?" He finally asks quietly. "Before we get to that, who was just in here?" Mark inquires as he unties Nate, who sighs. "My fans call him Natemare. He's the dark version of me." Mark stops. This all sounds so familiar to him. "Is he, like, a virus?" Mark asks. He finishes untying Nate. "I..don't know. What do you mean?" Nate is confused.
Mark explains everything from how Dark and Anti were just fan ideas, to why they were here now. "So, they somehow got into my computer?" Nate asks. "Yep." Mark answers. "But why do they want me?" Mark shrugs at this question and answers with, "I guess they wanted to get to as many of us as possible." "And that's why Natemare's a thing," Nate concludes. Mark nods. He looks to the door, surprised that no one had entered. He stands and is about to suggest that they leave, but suddenly, a look of terror crosses Nate's face.
"Do you think that the viruses would spare witnesses?" He asks, clearly concerned. "No, I don't think so. When Anti and Dark kidnapped us in Ireland, they took (y/n) too." Mark narrows his eyes. "Why?" Nate looks up at him. "Because Matt was at my place when they came." Mark's eyes widen. "What?!" He yells, then covers his mouth. "What was he doing there?" He asks, quieter. "We video chatted for a bit, then decided it would be better to discuss the livestream in person," Nate says sheepishly. "I didn't realize this would happen!" He looks nervous now. "No. Of course you didn't," Mark says. "We need to find out where they're hiding Matt, and then we need to find (y/n) before they hurt her!"
