**NOEL'S POV**

The darkness surrounds me. A faint throbbing pain can be felt in every part of my body with a sharp pain in my wrist.

I can hear voices but not see anything. My eyelids feel like a ton of bricks. I hate this, I need to move, I need to see who the voice that I hear for hours on end is.

Slowly my eyelids feel like they are lightening. Light floods through my partially open eyes. I manage to open them all the way.

I take in my surroundings. Bright lights, white walls, blue couch, beeping machines... Great a hospital. I look for the voices that I heard before. I slowly turn my head to the left which starts up a splitting headache. There is a chair with a mop of curly brown hair sat atop a person. My vision is still semi-blurry so I can't quite make out who it is, but I can here them speaking softly in a deep voice.

"Please be okay. I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. You deserve so much more than what you have. I can't wait for you to wake up. It's been two days already. I need you to wake up, Noel. I won't forgive myself if you don't."

My vision fully returns and I am say facing the one and only Harry.

"It wasn't your fault..." I whisper. It is all I can manage because of the extreme dryness in my throat.

Harry's head snaps up from where he was intently gazing at our intwined fingers. Tears well at the rims of his gorgeous green eyes as a faint smile spreads across his lips.

"You're awake!" he whispers happily, his smile continuing to grow.

Before I know it his arms are being wrapped softly around my shoulders. A sharp pain runs through my body and I emit a small yelp. Harry pulls back immediately.

"I-I'm so sorry..." He says quietly.

"It's okay Harry, I'm just a little sore." I try to smile in an attempt to make him feel better, but a fail and a small grimace spreads across my lips instead.

We stay there just staring at each other. Why is it that I barely know Harry yet I feel like he was my childhood best friend? He just has this quality that makes you want to let every thought you have ever conjured flow out of your mouth without stopping. Like you could talk about the color of the floor tiles and he would find interest in what you had to say. Maybe it's his inviting eyes, charming smile, or comforting actions that make you feel as if you could tell him you killed someone and he'd love you anyway.

Even though he makes me feel like I can place the entirety of my trust in him, I can't bring myself to open up anymore than I have about my cuts... Or any of the things he hasn't become aware of yet...

"I should go get the doctor so he can give you a checkup!" Harry states, sending a smile over his shoulder as he exits the room to get the doctor.

Has Harry really been here for two days? He looks like he has at least. The dark bags taking over the usually fair skin under his eyes. His emerald eyes less bright than usual, not quite lifeless but more exhausted. The curly brown hair on his head disheveled and out of place. I sure hope he hasn't been in this retched hospital that long. I could never forgive myself if I caused him this exhaustion, I mean how can you repay someone for being at your bedside for two days straight when you've only known them for a mere few days.

"Hello, I'm Doctor Berk. I have been in charge of you for the past few days. You have been given a blood transplant along with multiple antibiotics to minimize the pain as well as give you rejuvenating vitamins to speed up your healing process."

"Okay." I reply.

"You should hopefully be able to leave by tonight depending on how you are feeling."

"That sounds great! Thank you for your work." I say with a weak smile.

"If I may say so, you are very lucky to have a boyfriend like this young man," Dr. Berk said gesturing to Harry, "he hasn't left your side since after the blood transplant. He even made us let him stay over night just so he could be with you. He's a keeper!" The doctor smiled before walking out.

I turned to see Harry with a light pink tinting his cheeks as he looks at the floor.

He looks up and we make eye contact.

We both burst out laughing.

"Ow" I whine because the laughing is not helping the pain.

Immediately Harry is by my side checking to see if I'm okay.

"I'm fine Harry really, stop worrying!"

"Okay, okay I'm sorry I just hate to see such a beautiful girl in pain."

"Wow cheeky even when I'm in a hospital." I say winking. He just chuckles and shakes his head.

"I'm always like this. It's a gift!" he says still chuckling somewhat.

I just smile at him shaking my head.

"Have you really been here for two days?" I ask.

"Uh.." He scratches the back of his neck and glances down before making eye contact with me again. "Yeah... I was just..er... really worried." He looked almost embarrassed when he said this.

"Thank you" I whisper.

His head shoots up and his eyes once again meet mine. Harry steps forward and grabs my hand.

"Anytime." He said in all seriousness.

I just weakly smile before I realize how tired I actually am. He must of noticed.

"It's okay go to sleep." He says returning my smile.

"Only if you go home and sleep." I say as my eyes start closing.

"I'm fine." He says.

"No go home."

"Okay, bye Noel. I'll be back later."

With that he left and I finally let the darkness come over me once again.
