Chapter 15

*Your p.o.v.*

We all set up a camp for the night, which I ended up being on night-watch again. The sun was rising steadily as we all were on the move again with our horses.

My horse was black with white spots, and was a boy. I patted him on the head gently as we continued on to the Egon village.

I yawned slightly as Kawaii~Chañ went along my left side and Lucinda on the other.

"Good morning (Y/n)~Senpai!" Kawaii Chañ said happily, smiling at me on her horse. "Good morning you two! How did you sleep?"

"Not well. My back feels horrible." Lucinda complained, Kawaii~Chañ and I laughing. "We should be to Egon by noon." Everyone nodded and continued to move along.

After maybe about a half hour we finally reached the town. There were people scattered all around, some must know the prophecy because a few villagers gasped when they saw us. We rode our horses to the stables and then went to the outside of the village walls. All of the guards at all of the villages were notified of us so that we could go into all of the villages.

Turns out that Egon is the most dangerous town because of all the shadow beasts in the surrounding area.

"Okay we're going to split up to cover more ground. This time I'll take Laurence and Garroth." I stated, everyone splitting off into groups.

We walked along the tree line, hoping to see anything. Just then, there was a rustling in the bushes. Garroth, Laurence and I readied our weapons in case of danger. We crept closer and closer until..

Out popped a bunny that took off running. I sighed and let all of the nerves that were building up go. "Man. I thought it would be like a shadow beast or something." Garroth sighed, putting his sword back in its sheath.

I looked around a little bit as Laurence and Garroth chatted for a minute, when I found a cave. "Uh hey guys? I found a cave. And it looks like something is glowing.." the two boys looked at me and we all walked to the cave, which was only about twenty feet away.

Right as we got into the mouth of the cave, a large portal was up.. and still active.

*Time skip to everyone now at the cave*

"It's a nether portal.. that must be why there's a lot of shadow beasts here." Aaron marveled, studying the frame of it with Aphmau. Lucinda was looking at her book to see about spells about the portal and everyone else was looking around.

"Well should we go in?" Nicole asked, curious about what was on the other side of the portal. "I wouldn't suggest it. You don't know what kind of monsters are behind there and we don't even know what strongholds or building there look like. We need a plan." Katelyn addressed quickly.

"(Y/n) can I see the map for a minute?" Lucinda continued, I nodded and handed her the map. "Now based on the book that I got from the Striwsa library-"

Travis interrupted her saying, "wait. You stole a book? Naughty Lucinda, stealing books!"

"Well Travis it doesn't matter I have the book. BUT turns out that a regeneration potion, dumped on this map, makes it a map of the nether. And a invisibility potion makes it the map of this land." Lucinda said dumping a little bit of regeneration potion on the map. It started to glow until a new design on the map appeared. It was the nether!!

I stared in awe at the map.

"Well all we have to do now is go." I said, looking at the portal..
