You arrive at the restaurant and see Jack waiting for you outside.
"Go have fun sweetie" your mom shouts at you as you jump out of the car
"Thanks mom, love you." You say frantically as you run towards Jack and give him a hug. He picks you up and spins you. You interwind hands and you walk into the restaurant.
You see Finn and Sophia at the table and your heart sinks, but you realize you're with Jack so that helps you feel a little better. But all you really want is Finn.
"Hey guys." You say
Sophia gets up to give you a hug and meet you, while Finn has a fake smile on his face.
It's obvious he doesn't want to be here right now, with you here.
You slide into the inner side of the booth so now you're across face to face with Finn.
"Sooooo Sophia this is Y/N, Y/N this is Sophia. And I would introduce you and Finn but since you two already know each other what's the point in that," Jack says...
Jack and Sophia have an evil smirk on their faces and glance at each other.
"So, Y/N, how do you and Finn know each other?" Sophia asks.
Really?
She had to ask THAT of all things?
"Well... I'm in the second season of stranger things so that's how I met him, during filming." You explain.
"Ahhhh okay so basically the same way me and him met." She says
"I guess so." you fake laugh.
Finn looks over at you and you look over at him but you immediately look away.
"How did you and Jack meet?" Finn asks.
Seriously? Could he be more petty?
"We met at a pizzeria and immediately fell in love." Jack says in a stupid voice.
"Wow, heh, how lame." Finn chuckles, Sophia slaps his arm.
"You just jealous," Jack says sarcastically.
"Nope, I got the perfect girlfriend right next to me, not jealous at all." Finn snaps
Wow, that was a good stab Finn, very deep indeed.
"You're trying too hard Finn." Jack says
"That's what I do, I try hard, especially with my relationships."
"Wow, don't get too cocky because we all know how badly you failed at your last relationship." Jack laughs
"That doesn't even count as an relationship, that was just a test run." Finn says
HOLD UP... DID THIS BOI JUST SAY THAT I, I, WAS A TEST RUN.
As savage as I would like to be right now. I don't think he could've said anything worse.
Your eyes start to tear up because you can't hold it in anymore.
"May I be excused," you say, and rush to the bathroom.
Jack tries to grab your arm but he fails,
Sophia and Jack turn to Finn and give him "the look"
You locked yourself in the bathroom stall and start bawling your eyes out.
Why did you come here? What was I expecting?
You hear the bathroom door swing open "Y/N...? Y/N...?"
It's Sophia.
"I'm in here" you say all stuffed up. "Can I please talk to you for a second?" She asks.
You open up the stall door and she's standing there... She takes a few steps towards you and gives you a hug. "I have some explaining to do, and you may hate me for it." She says. "Okay, I'm listening."
"So while we were filming, we all got really close and told each other everything, you know the who likes who stuff and things like that. Well, Finn always talked about you, he said how much he cared about you and how much he wanted to be with you, and how he fell in love with your personality, he liked you so freaking much. And when you guys got together that one night, he kept us up all that night just talking about you and how happy he was. Throughout your whole relationship that's what he did, because he loved you so much Y/N... Then one night, he was looking through his comments and DM's on Instagram. You wouldn't believe how much hate he was receiving, and the threats he got, they were sickening. Some people had found out that you guys were together, and you were dating. People began to spread rumors about you and told him things you said that you really didn't say, and things people said you did that you really didn't do. Sadly, he believed those rumors and thought it was best to break apart. I know he should've thought this through but he couldn't do it without your support and he was too nervous to bring up those rumors because he thought you would be mad at him because he believed them. So that's the reason he broke it off."
Standing there, broken hearted, you slowly slide down to the floor sobbing. Knowing that he actually believed those rumors broke you apart. You can't believe he thought you didn't love him.
"I can't believe he thought...that I...I didn't love him." You cry out
"I know, we all tried to tell him but he wouldn't believe us. He needed to hear it from you," she explained
"Why couldn't he just ask me?"
"Because he was embarrassed." She says.
You sit there taking in all of the things you just heard and then it hits you...
"Wait... So why are you are Finn dating?" You ask
"Oh wow that's a long story that needs to be explained to him as well." She chuckles
"So, me and Jack knew how much you liked each other, so I started to pretend date Finn, and Jack, I'm sorry to tell you this, started to pretend date you too. BECAUSE - we wanted you guys to get back together somehow through this dinner, and the only way we could've done that was by setting up a double date."
"Oh my gosh you guys are the best I love you so much." You hug Sophia.
"I love you too! All that's left to do now is talk to Finn so let's clean yourself up and do this thing." She says.
