I woke up and realized I had the day off I sighed and texted Kelly.

Me: hey wanna go for a walk
Kelly: sure I'll meet you at your place
Me:ok

In about 5 minutes Kelly came we were walking down the sidewalk when I sighed and said "uh Kelly can I ask you something" he looked at me and said "go ahead" I looked down and said "do you think I'm too young to be a firefighter" he looked confused and said "em your 18 almost 19 your perfect for this job" I sighed and said "I know"
"Then why do you ask"
I sighed "some people saw my FD jacket and said that my dad's a horrible father for letting his daughter run in and out of burning buildings"
Kelly stopped walking and said "well If I was there I would have told them that your pretty damn fearless when it comes to burning buildings" I smiled and said "thanks Kelly" he shrugged and said "no problem mini chief" I chuckled and gave him a hug I looked up at him and it happened so fast he put his lips on mine and I immediately kiss back when he pulls back I smile and Kelly said "w-would you like to be uh my uh girlfriend" I smiled and said "yes I would" he smiled at me and hugged me I laughed as he did he walked me home and said "I'll see you at work tomorrow babe" I nodded and he gave me a peck on the lips and left I sighed and walked inside. I saw my dad on the chair and said "severide huh" I was in shock "h-how did you know" he chuckled and said "I know everything that happens to my daughter and to my men.... You still are my little girl but you've grown so big so Emily you have my permission to date severide" I smiled and jumped up and down I hugged my dad and said "thank you daddy" he hugged me back and said "your welcome em" I went up to my room and texted Kelly

Me: my dad found out we started dating today
Kelly: is that good?
Me:he approves of it!
Kelly:yay! That's good babe
Me: I know! Hey I'm gonna go to bed now see you tomorrow at work love ya!
Kelly:ok kiddo love you too
