6: Betrayal

The stable doors opened, but Annabeth and Jason didn't notice anything until a gasp was heard from Piper. 'J-j-Jason?' The two broke from their passionate embrace and looked up at their old friends. 'Percy! I can explain--' stuttered Annabeth. But before Percy or Annabeth could say another word, Hazel snapped at them and gems rose around her from the mud 'I TRUSTED YOU! I TOLD YOU SECRETS AND LISTENED WHEN YOU HAD YOUR HARD TIMES AND YOU REPAY US LIKE THIS?!?! YOU CHEATED ON THEM! THEY TRUSTED YOU AND YOU TURNED THEM ASIDE! ALL FOR YOUR SILLY LITTLE DESIRES FOR EACH OTHER! YOU--' At that point Hazel couldn't take it anymore and broke down crying. 'Hey, its ok--' Annabeth tried. 'Don't you dare even talk to her! I was going to propose! I have the ring, and I got your mother's blessings! All so I could spend the rest of my life here with you! I WENT THROUGH HELL AND BACK AND YOU KNOW WHAT KEPT ME GOING? YOU ANNABETH CHASE! I DID IT ALL FOR YOU! Percy shouted. Annabeth reached out to grasp his hand, but he pulled it away from her. 'Percy!' she said, shocked. 'Oh no. Your not talking to me again! He already proposed! You have the ring to prove it! Look! I even brought mine so I could get help from the others on how to propose to you! But no matter! I guess I mean nothing to you anymore! So here! Have it! Maybe it'll remind you of what you did!' Percy said, his voice venomous.
The 6 turned away from the two real traitors and walked out the door. When they got out, they decided to head to canoe lake to think. But they had barely gotten 5 feet away from the stables when they got zapped to Olympus.

--Later in the throne room--

The children stared up at their parents, gazes hardened like steel. With a clap of thunder, Zeus broke the silence 'So! You think you can be lazy around camp and yell at my son don't you?' when no one answered, Poseidon spoke 'Zeus, get to the point of it already' 'Oh I'll just do it! Basically you 8-wait where are the Stolls?' Hades said just as Travis and Connor stumbled through the elevator. 'Ok! As I was saying, you 8 have been deemed too powerful and are to be disowned and executed in... 5 minutes! Hades finished. 'So...you're disowning us as well AND killing us?' Percy said at the same time as Hazel started to cry and yelled "W-w-why!' 'We have gained information that states that you have been working with Kronos, Gaea and Tartarus. 'That's INSANE! Dad! Tell him we're not!' the twins shouted at Hermes. Hermes just looked away. Only Aphrodite stood up and placed protective hands around the demigods. 'Zeus stop this madness! Can't you see they're innocent!'

'They have been behind our backs all along! I should know! I know ALL OF THEM!' Annabeth told the gods as she walked in, Jason by her side. The blond couple did nothing to help the attitude in the room. Surprisingly, Aphrodite was glaring daggers at them 'How could you do this to my daughter Son of Jupiter! At least Frank here won't do anything to hurt my Hazel.' Turning around she told us to run. Percy stomped his foot, and an earthquake shook the throne room. 'Quickly! I'll meet you outside my daughters!' Aphrodite told them with a grim smile. Then all hell broke loose and we flippin ran out of the room, angry gods trailing in our wake.

--ten minutes later--

We had made it outside, and into Central park when Aphrodite arrived. She told us that we needed to keep running, for the Romans were hunting us as well, and we wouldn't stand a chance without our powers, which the gods had found time to recall while we ran. She also told us that we wouldn't have to suffer any longer, for Chaos would pick us up. Whoever he was. 'Before I go my heroes, just remember, I'll see you there, you just need to fight a little longer!' she managed before a blast of lightening recalled her to Olympus.

--time skippity-do to a few hours later--

We had reached our limits, and our weapons were gone. Riptide wasn't in Percy's pocket and Piper didn't have Katoptris. The others lost theirs as well, and Leo's magic tool belt was nowhere to be seen. The six reached a cave and had collapsed with fatigue, when a bright light filled the cave. When the light dies down, a man stood there. His skin was a combination of Hazel Calypso and Piper's skin tones, and his suit was covered in galaxies. His eyes were brown with a twinkle in them, sort of like a star. They all bowed except for Hazel, Calypso and Piper. 'Who are you?' Leo asked. 'Why, I am Chaos of course! I'm here to give you a second chance at your life. Only without the gods and their spawn' the man said with a chuckle. 'And no bowing! My daughters know, and you should follow their example as well.' 'What do you mean "daughters" the girls chorused. 'I'll explain it all with your mother when we get there.' he told them. 'Now, to get to Void, all you have to do is step through the portal. Just keep your eyes closed lest you want to be vaporized by me and my daughters true forms.' and with that, Chaos stepped through, the girls close behind. 'Well? What are we waiting for? A second chance at my life sounds really good right now.' Frank told them before stepping through. The others somewhat reluctantly followed.

At The Palace of Creation, Void

It was amazing. The palace itself put Mt. Olympus to shame. The demigods could only stare at their new home in awe, while Calypso, Piper and Hazel jumped up and down with excitement as cleverly hidden memories came flooding back.
