Monday.

Morning.

School.

Students.

Zombies everywhere.

Yet another typical Monday morning, I am now in Ms.Potts' Advanced Mathematics class.

"What is the answer to this equation? Can anyone of you answer?"

In school, Advanced Mathematics is for students who score A or A+ in their monthly Mathematic test. I, Tori Mason is one of the A+ students who is now stucked in this class with a bunch of nerdy-looking people. Well, I am also a nerdy-looking girl who has no interest in dressing up before showing up in school. Jeans and baggy t-shirts are my best friends along with my big-framed glasses. Well, not forgetting to mention, Mia Quinn and Jennifer Hunters, two of my best friends.

But among these nerdy-looking people, there is him- Andrew Harrington. Tall guy with bronze skin and hazel brown hair that lightens the emerald green of his eyes. He purses his full lips whenever he tries to solve a tough equation. Andrew will always wear a plain silver ring on his right index finger which I think is unique. He is one of the top ten excellent students in West Mount High and the president of Students Council. A lot of girls in school have a crush on Andrew- including me.

I glace over my shoulder to the left seat behind me. There he sits, eyes focusing on the white board with a pen pointing his jaw. Gosh, ain't he the sexiest?

Suddenly, his gaze lands on me and I turn my head quickly to avoid the sudden awkwardness. "What had I done!" I mutter. I did not just drool over Andrew Harrington. Or did I?

I give myself a face palm.

"Miss Mason," Ms.Potts calls out my name. I look at her with my eyes wide open and only I realize my volume is loud enough for the whole class to divert their attention from the whiteboard to me. I hide my face into my palms which I wish is a black hole.

"Do you have anything to share, Miss Mason?" Ms.Potts asks. She looks at me while pushing her glasses higher onto her nose. She crosses her arms in front of her chest and waits for my answer. I clear my throat and answer,"Nope. Absolutely." I fake a smile and she turns to the other student.

"Mr.Everhart, could you solve this equation for us?"

While Ms.Potts turns her attention away from me, I let out a small roar of frustration. Now I am totally embarrased in front of my dream boy, Andrew. Life.

RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

A few students let out a long sigh and walk out of class. I quickly shove my notebook and Advanced Maths textbook into my bag but unfortunately my notebook slips out of my bag and drops on someone's shoe. "Sorry," I mutter immediately and reach out to take my precious notebook when that person's hand reaches out for it at the same time.

Silver ring.

He grabs my notebook and I look up to face him-Andrew Harrington. No way. His face lights up with a genuine smile and I thank him shyly without looking straight into his eyes. I guess my cheeks are blushing in red now.

"You're welcome, Miss Mason," he replies. I put my notebook into my bag and stand up too quickly-bumping into Andrew's chest. I try to stand firm but my legs are tangling in unstable steps with the chair. Promptly, Andrew grabs my elbow to balance me. I stand firmly-facing his collarbone.

"You okay, Miss Mason?" He asks with a smile that can almost kill me. I smile sillily and say, "Tori, please call me Tori." Still, I dare not to look into his  eyes. They are too soft that I may lose myself. "Tori," he calls my name. I look up and meet his emerald green eyes-noticing that his bangs are kissing his forehead. "You might want to move to the next class now," he tells me. I wake up from Wonderland when his hand left my elbow. My heart sinks to the deepest ocean as he just leaves like that. I thought he was going to ask me out when he calls my name. I am being naive. Who will want to date boring little Tori Mason? I shake my head and leave the classroom-heading towards my locker that I shall meet the school devious person, Austin Harrington.

I make my way towards my locker. In West Mount High, students get to choose their own locker by non-according to alphabetic order. Unfortunately, the idiotic freshman Tori Mason chose her locker at the corner of the hallway where less people will pass by. She thought she would be better off alone while she spent the years in high school. She was wrong and now I am stucked next to the school bad boy, Austin Harrington-twin brother of Andrew.

Both of them look alike (of course) but Austin's eyes are in light green with a shade of brown-compared to Andrew's, his eyes are wilder. I remember the first day in school I couldn't open my locker and Austin offered to help. I became friends with him and we would spent lunchtime in our table outside the school cafeteria. We called the it "The Table of Wonders" because a lot of people scribbled on that table with sentences beginning with I wonder-. After two months spent in high school, Austin changed. He stopped talking to me and started to hang out with the jocks in school. He would teased me in front of his friends to embarrased me. He even snatched away my pink notebook and dumped it into the bin just because my notebook was pink. I hate Austin eversince and try to avoid seeing him in school.

As usual, there is a different girl in his arms today. "Let me guess, Chloe? Thalia? Or Natalie?" I let out a chuckle as I approach my locker next to Austin's. He is making out with the girl who seems to be enjoying that moment without knowing she will be dumped in the next minute. "Baby," she mouths when Austin trails hungry kisses onto her neck. I shake my head and open my locker-making a loud noise that interrupts Austin.

"Won't you quiet down Mason!" He roars in dissatisfaction. I gulp and whisper apology. I wonder what happened to him that changed him. He used to call me Tortoise because I walk slow like a tortoise. I miss him as a friend but now hate him as a nemesis.

"Who is she, baby?" The girl with red hair asks with her hands cupping Austin's face. "Nobody," he continues kissing her. Ouch, that is not hurtful. "Baby," red hair stops him again and I see a hint of annoyance in his eyes. "I don't like this girl, shoo her away will you?" My mouth parts in disbelief. Am I a threat to you? Well, I am quite happy since a girl thinks I am a threat to her relationship with Austin. My lips curl up as I hear what she requested. "Look, Hayley," Austin snaps but red hair girl interupts angrily. "My name is Ashley!" She slaps him but not hard enough to leave a red mark and storms away.

RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

I turn to walk away when the bell rings-signifying students have one more minute to head to class. Boring little Tori will always head towards class this time while others will slack around to chat with friends. Suddenly, someone grab my right hand and my bag fell from my right shoulder-hitting Austin's hand as well. But as an agile quarterback of West Mount High football team, he grabs my bag in his hand.

A smirk is formed on his face and he jeers, "Cute bag you have, Tori." My heart pounds angrily as I hold the hem of my shirt in my fist.

"I'm late for class now," I say patiently. "Give me back my bag, Austin."

RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

"Ohhhh," he swings my bag across his shoulder. He has the same ring like Andrew's. "Guess someone is already late for class now," he laughs.

With the anger in my head, I kick his left leg and call him 'Asshole'.
