Tyler

I wake up with glass and blood surrounding me.

I hear sirens in the far distance.

I immediately look up at Josh.

He's unconscious.

Blood coming from his thigh and head.

I shake him, "Josh?"

My breathing gets heavy, picking up it's pace.

I try to unbuckle myself, but the seatbelt is stuck.

I try to keep my calm, but it's not working.

The sirens keep getting closer and closer.

Finally, I see the red and blue lights.

I hear people getting out of the vehicles and approaching our car.

"Is anyone in there?" A man's voice says.

"Yes! Yes!" I stick my hand out through the window.

"We will get you out, sir. Is there anyone else in the car with you?"

"M-My boyfriend, he's the driver."

I hear more people trying to open the door.

Once it's open, they get Josh out.

Still not awake.

"My seatbelt is stuck!" I yell at them.

"We are going to hand you a pocket knife, can you cut the seatbelt?"

"Yes!"

I reach for the knife and grab it.

I switch it open, cutting the seat belt immediately.

Once it's off, they reach for my arms, pulling me out.

One of the paramedics wraps me in a towel, walking me away from the car.

I look back, seeing the car flipped upside down.

The other car, in bad condition.

I look around, not seeing a sign of Josh.

"Wh-What did you do with the other person?"

"He is unconscious, sir. They put him in the other ambulance. You will both be sent to the same hospital." The woman tells me.

I look down at my hands, my bloody hands.

"Is he alive?"

"We can assure you that he is breathing."

They point to the ambulance, where I sit down, dangling my legs.

The other paramedic on the ambulance hops down.

"Is anything hurting, sir?" He asks.

"I-I don't think so."

He starts moving my arms around, but I feel nothing.

I'm in complete shock.

"We need to get you to the hospital, where they will take x-rays. Can you lay down for me, sir?"

I stand up and hop onto the ambulance, laying on the stretcher.

They close the doors, driving off.

Within a few minutes, they open the doors again.

Rolling me out of the ambulance, and into the Emergency Room.

I immediately get rolled into a room.
