Another possible fanfic idea (but it would have to be less of a cliché plot than this)

"I'm giving you to the count of 5. Give yourself up or he dies," he cocked the gun in his hand. "Decision making starts now."

"I'm so sorry..." Jinyoung sobbed through the hankerchief tied around his mouth, tears staining his cheeks.

"Don't be," Mark said softly, trying to calm down his boyfriend who would die in a matter of seconds. He grunted as he pulled at the chains cuffing his wrists that were chained to the floor, restraining him from reaching Jinyoung.

"5..."

"This is all my fault–"

"Jinyoung–"

"If I had never gone there, none of this would have happened–"

"Jinyoung!"

His head whipped up and he shut his mouth.

"4..."

"Look at me. We're going to be alright, I promise you that." Mark said just as his wrists were almost slipped out of the handcuffs. "Just trust me."

"3..."

One last stray tear fell down Jinyoung's cheek, as he muttered, "I trust you."

"2..."

Jinyoung closed his eyes and exhaled a slow breath, because he knew Mark had it under control. Mark tugged his wrists once more, sliding out before running to Jinyoung, pulling him in by holding the back of his neck with tears in his eyes as the criminal counted down the final number.

"I love you." he whispered as the he fired his gun, the bullet going straight into Mark's shoulder.

~ Time skip ~

They laid in Mark's hospital bed together, Mark's arm wrapped around Jinyoung's waist.

"I can't believe it. You risked your life, just to save me?" Jinyoung continued to stare up at the ceiling. "I owe you my life."

"I don't want your life from you, just to share it." Mark nuzzled his head into Jinyoung's neck. He lightly hummed in content, letting out a quiet sigh.

"Mark, I'm tired."

"Then sleep with me." Mark said as he slipped his hand into Jinyoung's, their fingers lacing together.

"I love you." Jinyoung said just as he fell asleep moments later. Mark reached up and kissed him on the forehead, before snuggling back into him.

"I love you too."
