Chapter 14

Seth's POV

I woke up at about 9:50 am, quickly getting up as well as putting my contacts on. I noticed that my hair was at it's curly state but decided to leave it like this just because I barely have it like that since I just towel dry it.

"Morning, sweet potato." Glory smiled, giving me my tea. I can't stand coffee since it gives me a headache. I'm not sure why though.

"So, I didn't know it was a family reunion until now." I whispered, making her giggle.

"My family got here about 2 hours ago." She reminded me.

"Oh, why didn't you wake me up?" I asked.

"You were sleeping and I thought to let you have your beauty rest." She mocked me.

"That's funny." I laughed.

"Is that Seth, I hear?" A male voice said.

"Yeah, tío!" Glory shouted, holding my arm, looking at me with a serious face, as we walked to the living room.

"It's good to see you again, Seth. How are you doing?" Juana, Glory's mom asked, as I took a sip of my tea.

"Good as always." I answered, trying not to embarrass myself like the last time which was about a year ago.

"Is it true you're becoming a dad?" Lupita, one of Glory's aunts said, wondering.

"Yes but only because I really love your niece to began with. She's my best friend and if I didn't meet her, we wouldn't be in this situation." I smiled.

"But do you truly care for her and the baby." She asked.

"Tia!" Glory exclaimed, embarrassed by this.

"What? I was wondering if you're regretting this." She said.

"I'm not and if I was, that's my fault for not being committed to her life more." I said, spilling the beans.

"What are you saying?" She asked, not understanding this.

"Me and Gloriana are getting married this Saturday for our 3 year anniversary." I held Glory's hand.

"3 years and why haven't you said anything about this?" She didn't seem pleased.

"Because we didn't want it to be official until this year." I explained.

"Gloriana, do you want this to happen?" She asked her.

"Yes, tia. I really love Seth and I want him to be part of my life forever." She smiled, putting her hand on my shoulder.

"We'll discuss this later, right now we're going out to this Mexican restaurant in Glendale." She reminded us.

Glory's POV

Thank god this day hasn't sucked so far or else. But seriously, why the hell did my tia embarrass me and Seth. Oh right, she's been divorced before about 2 times and that's why she's acting like a marriage counselor.

"Seth, you okay?" I asked him, getting his attention.

"Not really." He said, rolling his eyes.

"What's wrong, then?" I sat down next to him.

"I feel like we'll never get married, I mean did you see the way your aunt reacted towards us?" He sighed, slightly angry.
