The reason why I left

I couldn't help but notice Pearl reading her cook book and having trouble. 

"Um... Pearl? Do you need any help?" i asked.

"Sure. Can you help me make lunch, is that okay?"

"I'll do anything to help!"

"Okay! then let's get cooking!" Pearl shouted raising her spatula.

This girl is crazy when cooking, i remember when Peridot told me when we were kids, her step-mom has zero percent body fat. i shook off the memory when pearl told me to bake the pizza bagels. Just in time for lunch, Steven and Amethyst and Garnet got back home. And after a few minutes, Peridot popped out of nowhere. 

"Peridot! Hey! I mean hi there! wanna come join us eat lunch?" I said inviting her.

"Nah, sorry, i cant right now. I ate too much." She said waving her hand and went up to her room.

"dont bother yanking her down. It looked like she had some fun." Amethyst said playing with her food. "Amethyst." Pearl warned her. You know maybe i should just go back to the dorm. I kinda feel awkward when Peridot is there. 

After lunch, i went upstairs to get my clothes in my luggage so i can take a shower. Before i opened the door, i heard Peridot talking to someone, must be Sam again. I put my headphones on but didn't put any music, so i can hear what they're talking about. When i entered, i went straight for my luggage. While doing so, i heard that Peridot will go to Sam's place again. Aishh!!! Whatever, i can go back to the dorm my own way. Then i went to the bathroom and took a shower.

When i was done, i went back to Peridot's room and she was no where to be found. Any ways, i went downstairs to say goodbye to the others but Steven said that he and Amethyst will go with me to the dorm so they can get ready since they were absent for three whole days i think. We headed out towards the bus stop. 

"How many years have past since the accident?" I asked the two.

"Like almost 6 years i guess." Amethyst said, trying not to cry.

"I really thought that she'd remember you, after all the months you've been with her. I really thought she'd remember you." Steven said with hint of guiltiness on his voice. 

It was 6 years ago, the day before i left Beach City for my dream school in Canada. That was the day i told Peridot a promise, a promise that we'll see each other again when i come back. That was also the day when Peridot got into an accident. The morning i told her ill be leaving tomorrow, she ran away. On the day of my flight, i was already on board when i got a text message from Pearl. She told me everything through text that Peridot got into a car accident when she was riding her bike on the way to the airport to stop me from leaving. I couldn't do anything cause the plain already took off and i cant leave tomorrow cause i have school already. So i just texted them. After the day of my flight i received a text from Pearl that Peridot had an amnesia. And  couldn't remember anything except the girl from the hill.
