Akemi did as told and carefully put her hands in the pool of water, as soon as her hands touched the water it turned a bright blue color that it lit up the dark cave, Akemi and Riga were surprised at how bright it was but Riga was more surprised at how pure it looked and the aura of peace it gave off.
Riga smiled and said, "I think your ready, I've never seen healing water look so pure, but I must ask you one last thing." Akemi tilted her head and said, "What is it Riga." he scratched behind her ears and said, "I must ask that you hide who you are, don't let anyone know that you are the long lost princess." Akemi looked at him confused and closed her eyes in peace from Riga scratching her ear and said, "I promise I will." Riga smiled and said, "Thank you, my princess, now you must be off, oh and before I forget to take this." Riga then held out a dagger with a blue like gem handle and said, "Keep this with you always, it will come of great use when the time has come." Akemi nodded and tied the dagger to her side and took a deep breath and said, "I'm ready." Riga nodded and motioned for Akemi to follow him.
Riga stood at the entrance of the cave and mumbled a few words and the waterfall split opened as if it was a door opening, Akemi gently held her necklace out of instinct a little worried, Riga noticed and smiled and said, "Don't be scared Princess Akemi, you have nothing to fear." Akemi nodded and walked closer to the waterfall and asked, "Will I be able to return here?" Riga stayed silent for a while then answered, "No but you would be able to communicate with me through the water anytime you like." Akemi nodded and said, "I guess I'll talk to you soon." she then walked through the waterfall with her eyes closed.
As Akemi stepped through the waterfall she opened her eyes and notice the water still on her skin transformed into a light blue cloak hiding her features, she then looked around her surroundings and saw she was in a forest, she then looked down and noticed she was standing on water she panic slightly and hurry to land not wanting to fall into the water.
She then started walking in a random direction humming a small tune to herself and soon came to a dirt road, she then saw a village and made her way over walking through the small village. She smiled as the children ran around her giggling and playing with each other, she walked to a close by stand and looked at all the food, she picked up an apple and said to the seller, "Excuse me, sir, how much is this apple?" the old seller that had a scorpion-like tail looked at her and said, "You can have it, on the house." she smiled and said, "Thank you." she then walked away and was about to take a bite when she felt a tug on her cloak.
She looked to her side and saw a little boy with dog ears of a beagle, he nervously played with his dirty torn shirt and asked, "Excuse me miss do you money to spare?" Akemi smiled and looked realizing she had no money, she then gave her apple to the boy and said, "I don't have any money with me at the moment but you can have my apple, after all, it's better than nothing." she held the apple to the little boy, the little boy smiled and said, "Thank you miss, may the great fox spirit watch over you and bless your soul." he then ran to a little girl with golden retriever ears and they both took a bite of the apple.
Akemi smiled sadly and continued to walk not realizing someone was following her, as she walked to another stand she looked at the strange looking instruments as an old lady picked something up and said, "Would you like to buy an instrument young lady? Would you like to play a little to see if you like it." Akemi shook her head and declined but thanked her and continued her way she then came to a road at the end of the village and started to walk the person still following her.
As night came closer she headed into the nearby forest for the night not knowing what was in store for her, she climbed a tree and got comfortable and looked at the sky to see the stars through the tree branches.
She smiled and closed her eyes, just as she was about to fall asleep she heard the snap of a twig and opened her eyes and looked down and saw several strange hooded figures, she tilted her head to the side slightly in confusion and saw them get into a fighting stance she looked in front of them, a few feet away there stood a man who looked to be a few years older than her with husky like ears and a sword at the ready.
They then started fighting the sound of metal clashing against metal, the grunts as a sharp blade made contact with flesh, the smell of fresh blood strong in the air. It seemed forever till all was quiet once again, Akemi looked at the heavily injured men with wide eyes as the man with husky ears turned and walked away. Once Akemi didn't hear his footsteps anymore she jumped off the tree she was on and hurried to one of the men sides, the man looked at her and said helplessly, "Please help my men." she nodded and checked the other men and looked over their wounds she sighed in relief when she saw that they were not that bad and didn't hit anything important.
She wrapped up their wounds the best she could, and smiled at the man and said, "You and your men should be okay, but you must rest, if you don't you could end up getting a serious injury."
The man nodded and gave her a curious look and said, "Why are you helping us." Akemi smiled and said, "I learned that if you show kindness and give people second chances great things will come." the man stared at her wide eye, he slowly lifted his hand and pulled her hood back just enough to see her eyes, as the man stared into her eyes, her eyes were like looking into a pure pool of water with a hidden darkest deep inside as if to never be seen or discovered, the stars reflection on them made them even more breathtaking. His eyes watered and he gave a smile and said, "It's good to see that someone of your age can see what little good it is still left." he then put her hood back so it covered her eyes once more. Akemi smiled and went to tend to the others all the while not realizing that she was being watched by the man with husky ears and a pair of sky blue eyes.
After she finished tending to the men she started a fire to keep them warm as they all slept soundly, as Akemi laid her head against a tree, she closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep as she slept the man with husky ears slowly walked to her sleeping form and drew his blade, he aimed it to stab her in the heart but was stopped as a dagger blocked his sword.
The man was surprised slightly and stared at the hooded men who pulled their hoods down to reveal their wolf ears, they glared at the man and said, "You can kill us but you leave her alone." the man was even more surprised and confused and questioned, "Why would you risk your lives for a mere stranger." the leader of the wolfs glanced at Akemi then back at the man and said, "Her eyes are the reason, they looked as if they been through so much yet look pure, purer than anything I have ever seen." the man raised an eyebrow and said, "I would be the judge of that." he got ready to fight the wolf eared men when Akemi stood in front of the leader." they were all surprised for none of them realized that she woke up. Akemi looked at the man and said, "Who are you." the man smiled and said, "I am Seikei, I am an assassin and the Kings top hunter now would you please step out of the way so I may complete my mission." Akemi glared at him under her hood and said, "And what have they done to be killed by the king's orders." the man Seikei smile fell as he said in a straight face, "They choose not to serve the king saying he's not the rightful ruler, and that the lost princess is and that they will only serve her only." Akemi was surprised but smiled then her smiled fell realizing the reason why they were to be killed.
She ran at Seikei and jumped back dodging being hit by his sword, he ran at her trying to hit her but she kept dodging every hit he was trying to make. He saw an opening only for his hit to hit something else, a child-like cry was heard as it hit the ground, Seikei grew mad and said, "Little mutt you should not have got involved." he was about to stomp on the boy tail as punishment but ended up stomping on a hand that covered the tail. Seikei looked at Akemi surprised as she used her body as a shield to protect the boy, he smirked and was about to step on her hand when he was tackled to the ground.
