"Dude, it's like, midnight. If you wanted to come over, you should've asked earlier."Blu said sleepily, rubbing his worn hazel eyes as he led Alistair inside.
"You act like you've been sleeping; have another hard night playing Skyrim?" Alistair asked curly, tossing his duffel bag on Blu's couch. Blu's house was basically his real home. Since he hadn't moved in the past two years, he had become good friends with Blu, whose mother just didn't care about who came over at what time.
"No, asshole. I was really sleeping."said Blu, who moved some trash off of the small couch that was set neatly in the corner of his room."Now, you gonna just stand there or are you gonna tell me why I had to cover for your scrawny ass again?" Blu asked sharply, sitting on the couch.
Alistair shut the door behind him and sat on the edge of Blu's water bed."First off, I'm not scrawny."
"Whatever. C'mon, tell me."Blue egged on. Alistair shrugged, leaning back and chilling out."I was just hanging out at the cemetery and lost track of time. But thanks for covering for me,"
"You really gonna feed me that bullshit, Sutton?"Blu asked incredulously. Alistair rolled his black eyes and said,"What, I'm not allowed to have alone time now?"Blue chuckled."Why the cemetery? And no offense, but you smell like shit."
Alistair sniffed the collar of his shirt. Blu was right-- he smelt pretty bad."You won't be getting any girls smelling like that,"Blu said. Alistair could care less about girls at the moment; the only target for him was to kill all of the vampires. He couldn't afford to get too close to anybody; a romantic relationship like that could cause him to lose sight of what needs to be done. Dating wasn't exactly forbidden in the Slayer Society, but it was frowned upon.
"I'll shower in the morning before school, okay?" Blu muttered a whatever and turned on his water bed, trying to get in a comfortable position. Alistair was stuck with the small maroon coloured couch, which didn't support his 6'2 frame.
But he didn't complain as he laid out peacefully on it, wrapping the blanket around himself. He guessed that he wouldn't be getting a good night's rest sleeping on such an uncomfortable couch, but he didn't get much sleep anyways. His dreams kept him awake half of the night anyways, so what was the point of trying to get comfortable?

"She's not stable!"
"Did she do that to herself?"
"Why can't she stop screaming?"
The words of the people around Alistair began to slur and jumble up, as if he were going down a spiraling vortex. Most of his senses were shut off-- all but his hearing and sight.
And the sight wasn't pretty.
As if he were a ghost, looking down on his loved ones, Alistair looked down on the scene below him. A girl, who looked to be fourteen or so, was screaming madly. Her arms were cut badly, as if she were attacked by a rabid animal. But one thing looked off: those wounds looked self inflicted.
"Get the doctor, please!" A woman who stood beside the young girl screamed hysterically. She was holding the young girl's hand tightly, afraid to let go. As the blood continued to flow, the girl screamed once more.
"Stop it! Stop it, please!" She yelled in agony. She opened her dark eyes and stared at the ceiling, right at Alistair."Save me." She whispered, before she closed her eyes. Her head fell to the right, and the woman began to scream."My baby! Cecile! No!"
If Alistair could shut his eyes, he would have. The next sight was more grim than the last. Two doctors, both in identical white coats with blue shoes, walked up calmly, trying to pry the woman away from her dead daughter.
