No promises

Well that didn't go as planned...

"Earth to Ally?" Macey clicks her fingers at me as I snap out of my thoughts.

"Ya, what?" I say.

"You were away in your own little dream world. When is Josh collecting you?"

"He said 9." I consulted my watch, it was already ten past. Boys.

At 9.20- twenty minutes late!! - a knock came from my door. I left Macey in my room to finish getting ready and clunked down the stairs. I've only been wearing these shoes for ten minutes and already regret the decision of letting Macey persuade me to wear them.

I opened the door and Josh was standing there with a bunch of flowers. I almost fainted there and then. I have dreamt about this moment. Josh finally realising my feelings for him and taking me on a date. Even though in reality this wasn't a date and he hadn't realised my feelings for him. Yet. Oh shit. I don't think I can do this. My palms were sweating just thinking about it.

"Wow.. you look beautiful Ally." He said. My heart fluttered at his words. Oh god, this boy does things to me.

"Oh, emm, these are for you. I know this is not a date or anything but emm.. yeah, here you go." He said awkwardly, scratching his head with his free hand. Oh my god, he's so cute when he is nervous. I just stared at him, my jaw nearly reaching the ground. Was I drooling? Please don't say I'm drooling oh god. My heart was pumping so hard in my chest. Breathe Ally, breathe.

'Its okay. You have it all  planned out. You are gonna have a great night and then when he takes you home you  will mention that you have had an undying love for him since you first set eyes on him. And he might be a bit freaked out but it's okay because you will never see him again. Breeeeathe.' I mentally prepared myself.

"I'm moving to Canada. And I love you. God, I love you since I first set eyes on you."

Did I just say that out loud?? The look on his face confirmed that I had indeed.

OH SHIT I JUST TOLD JOSH I FRICKING LOVED HIM. OH GOD. PLEASE NO. CAN THE GROUND PLEASE JUST OPEN UP AND SWALLOW ME WHOLE??

Before I realised what I was doing, I swung the door shut in his face and pressed my back to it.

OMG I JUST CONFESSED MY LOVE TO JOSH AND THEN SLAMMED THE FRICKING DOOR IN HIS FACE.

This is not supposed to happen. This is definitely not what I had carefully rehearsed for the hour while Macey was doing my hair and make up. It was all going so well, and then of course I just had to go and ruin it.

I look up from where I'am sitting on the floor with my back pressed against the wooden door. Macey is standing at the top of the stairs, her mouth wide open in shock.

"ALLY WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST DO??"

Okay so I was talking to my friend (she is the reason I update today instead of on Monday or something) about how this chapter should go cuz I was having writers' block and didn't know where I was going to take this. And then she suggested that Ally should tell Josh that she has feelings for him but it's too late now anyway cuz she's moving. And ya I was going to do that and then they kiss and it's all perfect etc. etc. but that never really happens in real life does it? And I want this book to be relatable and I want to put across the point that Ally is not perfect, she is just a normal girl. So ya, thank you for reading. I don't have an update schedule yet, but I hope to update at the very least once a week xxx ~Selina
