Misunderstanding

Hey guys, before I start this one short, I just want to say that (l/c) means lip color in the story. I hope you enjoy it! Now, on to the story featuring Jason Todd!

Reader's P.O.V.

I was walking down the stairs that led to the bat cave. It dropped 10 degrees once I entered the cave. We were currently looking up information on the Joker's whereabouts since he broke out of Arkham, again. I honestly don't know why Batman didn't pull that god damn trigger when he had that gun to his head. And yes, I still don't know anyone's secret identities because I fell like they don't trust me enough to know yet. I mean, come on! I've been with this team for-omfg.

'Man, that hurt.' I thought as I was laying on something soft like th-wait, SOFT! I quickly regained myself as I was actually laying on top of THE Red Hood! Why did this happen to me?! He'll probably kill me after this! Usually nothing gets me out of my thoughts but when the person underneath me groaned, it snapped me back to reality.

"Jeez, even though your small, you sure know how to knock someone down." Said Red. "Oh my god! I didn't even see you walking there! I'm really sorry for all of the trouble I caused you! I'll make it up to you if you want!" My face was beat red from embarrassment after I was down with my apology statement. "It's alright (y/n), no one got hurt, badly. But about that-." "Oh, when did you two become a couple? I would really advise the both of you two to do the 'deed' in the other room instead on the floor." Said Nightwing.

"I-Its not what it looks like, I swear! I-I just bumped into him and we both landed on each other! N-Nothing is going on between u-us!" "Well, I was hoping to actually change that, after I get up at least." Said the man underneath me. "Oh, right, well I'll get off now." I then lifted myself up from Red and stepped a few feet back to let him get himself up. "A little help would have been nice but I just want to get to the point." He said as I soon nodded to let him know that he can continue with what he is going to say.

"Look, (y/n), I just want to tell you that... I like you. I liked you ever since you joined this team a few months ago. I like how you treat others with respect and kindness even though they don't do the same for you. I like how your (h/l), (h/c) hair flows in the wind when you go on walks. I like how your nose scrunches up in different ways to express your emotion while you are reading a book. I like it when your (e/c) eyes shine brighter than any star I have ever seen in my life. I like it how your (l/c) lips create the most enchanted smile I have ever laid eyes on. What I'm trying to say to you (y/n) is that after playing all of these wonderful memories I have of you over and over again in my head, I realized something. (Y/n), I am hopelessly in love with you."

I. Was. Speechless. Nobody ever told me something like this, not even admitting on having a small crush on me! My mouth kept on opening and closing as I tried to find the words to speak with. Before I said anything, Red said a quick 'sorry' and started to walk the other way. But as he was half way out of the door, I quickly spun him around so he was facing me. I then lifted his helmet so it only showed his lips. "What are you- mmmf!" I cut his sentence off as I applied my (l/c) lips to his.
He seemed shocked at first but after a couple of seconds of standing there, he finally deepened the kiss. We soon pulled apart due to us needing oxygen. After we pulled apart, I redid his helmet so it covered his lips again.

"Wow, that was amazing." He said in between pants as he was trying to regain his oxygen back. "Yeah, it was." I said also doing the same thing he's doing. "I don't mean to ruin this moment but, why did you lift up my helmet so it only showed my lips?" "Well, I didn't want to ruin the secret to see who is behind the mask. I want to save it for our date tonight at 7:00 pm." I said. He looked stunned that I actually planned us a date. I was surprised myself for this new courage I suddenly got.

"Did you just, ask me out on a date? I thought I was suppose to make the first move." I then silently chuckled to myself about his comment. "Yes, I asked you out on a date since we're both together. And who said that men can only make the first move?" I sticked out my tongue as I walked away. To get his attention, I swayed my hips back and forth in a playful tone. I guess he really liked it since he came running to me faster than a cheetah. I think I'm going to like this relationship with Red.

As the couple started to walk away, they forgot a certain someone that watched the whole thing go down. He smiled to himself for watching two people blossom into a relationship. Nightwing takes off his mask to reveal THE Dick Grayson underneath. He then rubbed his temples as he thought about Japan actually getting the girl this time. You could hear laughter erupt in the cave that sounded cheerful. You see, Dick has a crush on (y/n) and was going to tell her but Jason beat him to it. As long as (y/n) was happy, so was he...
