From Nerd to Badass

Chapter 4

'Get the HELL out' is what I heard at the end of the day, but it turns out it was the bell ringing for school to end. I got out of my seat and started to walk to my locker. Pushing past many students, I finally reached my locker. I grabbed my backpack and headed to the school doors. I spotted James and Scarlet at James' car waiting for me.

"Where are we going," I said while hopping in the car. The car was a new Porsche ,that is black,that still had the new car smell.

"Just my place" James replied while turning the radio on. Just then 'Blank Space' came on by Taylor Swift. I know the song is old, like year 2000 old, but I still can jam to this. I start screaming the lyrics and dancing in my seat. When the song ended, I looked up and saw that I was getting weird looks.

"Look I know the song is old ,but do you have to look at me like that?" I asked. It turns out they forgot how to use their voice box.

"Damn girl even though you were screaming you have a beautiful voice." James said messing up the moment at the same time.

" Whatever just keep those wondering eyes on the road will you." I muttered while rolling my eyes. All this time I just realized that Scarlet is dead silent. I looked at her and give her a questioning look.

" What is up with you? Are you mad or something?" I ask actually worried for her health. Look at me just met the girl and I already feel like I can listen to her boring ass problems.

"You are so calm towards the lea- " is what Scarlet said before a hand covered her mouth. James had covered her mouth while giving her glares. It seams we have arrived at James house and he was listening to our conversation the whole time.

" What do you mean lea-?" I said with a mean undertone. James just left the car and into the house with Scarlet behind him. I got out the car and followed them. Right when I got to the door, I was met with the floor. It seams that Lyric, James 5 year old sister, jumped on me and gave me a hug.

"How are you Lyric?" I said while hugging her back.

"Awwwwwsome now that you are here! " Lyric said with a big smile on her little face. She was wearing a light blue dress with a happy face emoji on it.

"Look I have to talk with your brother. When I am done I will come play with you." I told Lyric.

" You promise?" Lyric ask with an unsettling look.

"Of course. Whatever you want to play we can." I said.

"Ok! I will go get ready" Lyric said with happiness.

"Damn you are good with kids too!" Scarlet said.

"I know. It is my hobby." I said with fake pride.

James starts to walk to his room while Scarlet and I follow him. When we arrive at James' room I am amazed for the hundredth time.

"Bro this room stills amazes me." I said with awe.

"Why thank you. Your room is awesome too." James said.

"WHAT you have been in the lea... I mean James house before, and he's been to yours?" Scarlet said with envy and slight surprise.

I look at Scarlet with a 'are you serious' look, then answer " Yes many times we are besties ." I stated.

"This moment is cool and all but do you want to play games or something?" James says trying to change the subject.

" Oh yeah! STOP trying to change the subject. I want to know what you two are hiding from me." I said while stepping away from Scarlet.

"Ok ok okaaaaaay! But what I am about to say is news and I do not want to lose you as a friend." James says trying to coax me into still being his friend.

"Whatever. Just get to the point."I say with an annoyance undertone.

" I am the leader of the Midnight Foxes." James says while slightly looking down.

"Oh, you mean the most feared gang in Paris? WAIT WHAT THAT GANG IS YOU AND YOU!" I said pointing to James then Scarlet.
