From Nerd to Badass

Chap 19

We moved to the starting line. The mystery guy looks over to me smirking at me. I roll my eyes, like he can beat me. The flag guy goes to the middle of our cars and stats counting down from 3....2.........GO.

At that I speed off tweeds the first turn. I decided that I wanted to use the same trick I used to get Ethan. I slowed down letting the mystery guy pass me up by a good 100 meters.

As he grew confident in his skills she slowed down slightly to the point where he was still in front of me but just slightly. I smirked "right where I want him" I said in my mind. As the fist turn was coming up,I sped up just a little so I can get ready for my drift. And booom I passed him up like nothing.

I continued to be ahead of him for the rest of the laps winning easily. I pulled up to the finish line and got out of my car excited that I just won a new car and money. I mean we can always use more money.

As the mysterious guy pulled up to the finish line, he looked impressed that a girl beat him and sad that he lost the car he just won. He unwilling hands me the keys to the car and the money.

"Thanks for the car and I hoped you had some fun. I know I did, but by the way, what is your name?" I asked the guy as I did another small victory game.

"My name is Camdon. I go to Richpoint High. I'm guessing u go to our rival school considering I have never seen u around and I'm pretty famous" he says. I nod at him confirming that all that info is true.

"Well if you ever want to race again, come contact me and we can set it up. Remember we always make bets. We don't race for free" I say to home while giving him my number. He looks at me grateful for the chance to possibly win his car back. He waves goodbye as he walks out to the racetrack.

My friends finally walk up congratulating me for the new car while admiring the color. I smirk to myself knowing that I did a good job and asked if Jésus would drive my car home while I took Ethan. He agreed and we were heading home. 

That's when I remembered that sister Nathan was here with us and I felt like I haven't used her enough to feel satisfied.  I walked towards her and asked if she wanted a ride home. Unknown to her I had other motives. She accepted the gesture and walked with me to the car.

I told my friends that I was headed to the mall to embarrass Nathan more and to not wait up for me. They laughed and bid farewell. I got into my car headed to the mall.

Again always sorry for mistakes I'm pretty sure once I finish the book I'll go over them but for now pls just bare with them. Thx for reading my book. It always makes me happy that someone is.
