Not for long it was lunch time. I couldn't help but smile at the though of just eating with my friends!
I walked into the lunch room with my food and headed to my normal spot.
As I got there I notice only two people, Carrah and Kaspien.
My smile altered a bit as I came closer. Eventually I sat down and I turned to Carrah.
"Where is everyone?" I asked as Carrah looked at me.
"They are at the other table with Jessica and Tracy" she pointed towards a big table.
Instantly I saw Bella, Nicole, Carissa, mercedes, Luke, Ben, Xavier, Tracy, Jessica, and some other random people sitting together. My heart dropped at all of them laughing and just hanging out.
Carrah seemed a bit hurt but she had Kaspien- those two are inseparable so they didn't really need anyone else.
I, on the other hand, needed at least Xavier. He's my best friend since I was little.
I couldn't help but feel a new feeling building up in my chest.
Envy and
Jealousy..
I turned back towards my food and I quickly and quietly excused myself from the table. Kaspien and Carrah understood the situation and gave me sorrowful eyes.
I brushed it off and went to my classroom to eat.
No one was there since everyone is in the lunch room including the teacher. Of course you'll find some people in classrooms such as myself.
I sighed a bit as I wasn't that hungry anymore, the envy feeling just kept growing which replaced the hunger feeling. I hated it but I now understood it.
I lost my best friend.
Just like before.
I sat my head on the desk and closed my eyes.
It's a repeat of my childhood with Jeff, Liu, Xavier, and Jane.
I officially lost them all.
I could feel the tears starting to form in my closed eyes- my nose getting tingly.
"I hate this" I mumbled.
Once I said that I heard a response in the classroom- something I wasn't expecting.
"Hate what?"
I looked up- half expecting- more like wanting it to be Xavier. I was ready to run in his arms and cry but it wasn't him.
It was Luke Dawn.
"Nothing, don't worry about it" I quietly spoke.
He sighed a bit and pulled a chair next to me and sat his tray of food on my desk.
"Hey there kitten, is it because your lonely? If you want I will accompany you!" He cheerfully stated.
Maybe if I didn't hate him so much we could be friends or would have been friends.
I looked at him and turned my head away while I closed my eyes.
"Don't be like that my little kitten, I wonder where your food is" he trailed off- more or so talking to himself, "no matter!! We can share mine!" He took his spoon and got some fruits on it.
"Turn to me and eat this fruit! It's super yummy!"
God, why is he so cheerful?
"Im not hungry" I mumbled.
I heard his chair move backwards and heard some footsteps coming to the other side.
All of a sudden I felt him shove his spoon full of fruits into my mouth and I chocked a bit.
I shot up quickly and slammed my hands on my desk and glared at him, just missing his tray of food.
"Leave me alone!" I shouted at him with pure anger ridding off of me.
He only smiled, the same stupid smile.
"At least you ate something kitten! It keeps me content!" He blabbed on as I sat down crossing my arms and glaring at him.
"Look, you're not my dad so leave me alone. Got it?" I stated.
He only smiled and split half of his sandwich in his hands and stretched out one of his arms to me.
'Like I'm going to take that' I sneered in my head.
"Here kitten, at least eat this and then I will leave you alone" he spoke gently.
I looked at him- my arms hesitantly un crossing. The deal did seem to interest me a bit. I kept glancing at him and the sandwich piece he held out.
"Fine" I mumbled and slowly took it looking to the side as I ate it.
"There, that wasn't so bad was it my kitten" I could feel his over energetic energy overflowing towards me. Not gonna lie, it felt somewhat nice.
I smiled a bit and ate my sandwich peacefully as he ate his.
"That's it, that's what I wanted to see my kitten! That gorgeous smile of yours! I love it so much!" He stated, way to happily.
I instantly rolled my eyes and my smile vanished.
"Ya well, thnx for the sandwich and all but, just know, you will never see that smile again nor do I want you talking to me, ever." I stated rather coldly.
He looked at me and shrugged- as if what I said meant nothing to him.
Time seemed to pass silently, for me, it felt awkward but for him, he felt content.
After some time with the silence he spoke, "I know you resent me" he trailed off looking down, "but I care for you and I want to be your friend.. again, like before! ..I really like you and I want to protect you! You're so sweet and so nice- the world is so cruel. You're like a delicate flower that bloomed in the war field. I want to protect you from the chaos" he paused, deciding what to think next.
"I love you" he said slowly while smiling once again and looking right at me- as if he repeatedly told this line over and over again to himself in the mirror or something.
Three words that had seemed to changed the whole atmosphere. My hurt bumped loudly as my palms begin to sweat, just why did he have to say those three words. My throats felt dry but I forced the words to come out.
"I'm sorry" I heard my own voice say, "but.. I hate you."
Just then the bell rang.
