Candy ran as fast as she could towards the candy factory that her and Sweet Tooth called home. Both her and Sweet Tooth knew that Batman was coming- they just didn't know how much time they had.

Sweet Tooth felt his excitement coursing through his veins as Batman made his way, fumbling with injury, into the factory. Revenge will be mine, Batman. You made me like this, and it's only fair that you are the reason I sink my teeth into this precious city.

Sweet Tooth cackled in the darkness, and the lights started to flicker as he abandoned Robin into a little holding place just to the left of the walkways above.

'SWEET TOOTH! SHOW YOURSELF!' Batman growled, growing impatient of the games this joker was playing.

Sweet Tooth, however, was enjoying his little game. 'Life's a lot like candy, isn't it Batman?' He taunted, leaning over the railing and looking down at Batman. 'Sure! It's sugar-coated on the outside, but it's sour at the core. We both know it. The only difference between you and me is that I've managed to see the sweet side! But you just keep tryin' to take that BITE... out of crime.'

Batman looked up into the darkness, trying to lay eyes on the psychotic, masochistic, sadistic, possessive, depraved soul that held his oldest chum.

'And for WHAT? A city that voted to kill the only thing you've ever loved? The whole world is just meaningless, sugary fluff, Batman! Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates... so tell me Batman- Why aren't you eating?'

The moon seeped through the singular window that was perched above the walkway, illuminating an unknowing Sweet Tooth as he pointed a gun at Batman. Batman slipped his hand down to his belt and snatched out a Batarang, which he then heaved at Sweet Tooth.

It struck just below his eye, narrowly missing it's target. 'H-HOW DID YOU- OH MY GOD!' Sweet Tooth shrieked, running off to grab Robin and tease the Batman further- Then finally, kill them all.

'I'm coming for you Sweet Tooth!' Batman shouted at the crazed man.

Sweet Tooth grabbed Robin and ran along the walkway, pushing Robin in front of him. Angsty, nervous, and shrill described both Sweet Tooth's attitude and voice. 'Oh I've never run so fast in my life!' His maniacal laugh showed both his craziness, and his nervousness at coming face to face with his foe. 'I'm gonna cry!'

Batman started to catch up, and shouted incoherently to them.

'Hold it right there, Batman. Take one more step and the Boy Plunder takes a dive right into THAT vat of boiling hot chocolate!' Sweet Tooth threatened, holding Robin close to the gap in the walkway gates.

Robin gasped dramatically as Batman held up his hand. 'No- Sweet Tooth! Put Robin down! Don't throw him into THAT vat of boiling hot chocolate!'

Robin gasped yet again.

'This is between you and me!' Batman added.

Sweet Tooth grinned to himself, ready for his final attack at destroying the Dark Knight. 'You're right, Batman. This is between you and me. It always has been. I'll let Robin go.' Batman was relieved, but it was extremely short lived as Sweet Tooth cackled once again, and shoved Robin off the walkway. 'OOPS! BUTTERFINGERS!' he cried, throwing the chocolate down the walkway.

'ROBIN!' Batman shouted for his falling comrade.

'OH BATMAN!' Robin cried. 'HELP! I'm falling into THAT vat of boiling hot chocolate! OH NO!'

Batman threw a Batarang across a beam and dived across the vat, swopping past. 'GRAYSON DIVE!'

'BATMAN!' Robin called again.
