Chapter 27
Kristina slept pretty late. It was 10:30. She rolled over to her back in her bed and stretched out. She was pretty tired. She didn't want to get up. But, she reluctantly stood up and walked downstairs. She opened the fridge and looked around. She took out the orange juice, looked around for her parents, and drank out of the carton.
Yeah..she still lives with her parents. But it's free and it's like they aren't even there. Kristina finished gulping down the orange juice and looked in the pantry. She took a granola bar and walked back up the stairs.
She yawned slightly and someone knocked on her bedroom door. Was it Harry? It's way too early. She's not even dressed. She opened the door slightly. It was her mom. "Hey, Honey are you feeling better?" "Yes. I feel fine. I really need to get ready for my date." and she shut the door. Her parents won't leave her alone about it. They're always like "are you in pain?" "are you feeling better?" It's annoying.
Sometimes they just get on her very.last.nerve.
Kristina opened up her dresser and had to pick out an outfit. Nothing to wear. Kristina went back downstairs to her laundry room. She picked out of the clean clothes and took out a pair of tight black jeans and a light blue hoody from Jack Wills.
Great. Now time to go back upstairs..again. Kristina went into her bathroom and put on makeup. She put on a coat of eyeliner and mascara. Her lips were chapped so she put on some chap stick.
She wondered what Harry's new car would look like.
She would never admit this, but she was a bit scared of going back in the car. Not because it's with Harry. Just because she was..scared. But she wasn't that scared. It was just an accident. Accidents like that don't just happen everyday. And she lived. They have great hospitals and doctors around. There's nothing to be scared about.
Kristina wanted to lay back down. She figured it was going to take a while for him to come anyway, but then her phone rang. "Hello?" she answered. "Hey, Babe. I'm in your driveway." he said. She went back downstairs-hopefully for the last time-and fixed her hair up. Her hair was still straight from yesterday.
She looked outside and Harry had a new, silver car. She's not the best on knowing the types of cars there are. She just knows colors and shapes. Harry honked at her. "Well don't you look good." Harry said.
Kristina got in the front seat and kissed Harry lightly on the lips. "Hey you." she said. "Let's go" he said.
The park was about 3 miles away. Too far to walk to without being tired. Harry and Kristina sat on a picnic table.
"I have a question." Kristina said.
"Ask me." Harry said, doing a quick hair flick. That hair...it's just...amazing.
"Well...why wouldn't you talk to me?" Kristina asked.
Harry's face turned red. He tried not to look at Kristina, but she didn't seem to notice.
"Uhh...well you know. I've been busy. And tired. From. Being at the hospital. Those things." Harry said.
"Okay. I just..kinda seemed like you were avoiding me and that our relationship was going to be like that." Kristina said.
"I wouldn't do that. I always want to see and talk to you." Harry said in a sweet but low tone.
"Thank you." Kristina said. Harry leaned in and kissed her lips softly. He smiled widely.
"Well do you want to go for a quick walk?" Harry asked.
"Sure." Kristina replied.
They both got up. Harry grabbed Kristina's hand. They interlocked fingers. They were walking through the park. Kristina looked down on the ground. She noticed the grass was really green and maybe needed to be cut soon.
"So why did you want to come to the park today?" Kristina asked.
"Well.." Harry's voice trailed off. He let go of her hands fast. He turned towards her and smiled.
" I wanted to come here today because it's my favorite place on Earth. Wanna know why? Because I bumped into you here. Our first date was here. And this is where I'm going to ask you to marry me."
Kristina smiled. But then her smile faded. "What?" She asked quickly.
Harry knealed to the ground. He pulled a beautiful silver ring with 3 diamonds.
"Kristina, will you marry me?"
Kristina felt a warm tear go down her face.
Suddenly, they heard someone scream Harry's name. Kristina and Harry turned around fast. A bunch of people with cameras, figures. "Harry Styles! You did you just purpose?" A man asked while taking pictures. The flash almost blinded them. The both squinted tightly. Harry put his hand in front of the camera.
Harry grabbed Kristina's hand.
"Let's get out of here." Harry said.
They started to push by the huge crowd of paparazzi. They followed them, still asking stupid questions. They were trying to get in front of Harry and Kristina. One man had a microphone and a video camera asking questions. Harry and Kristina tried to ignore them.
"Run" Harry yelled at Kristina.
They both started running as fast as they can. They ran for a while until they couldn't see anyone behind them anymore.
