Chapter 18

Kristina watched as Harry got dressed. She was already fully dressed. Well. They did it. They finally did it. Kristina laughed. Harry's such a dork. "Well...uh..we never finished what we started." Kristina replayed in her mind.
What a dork. But she thought that was the cutest thing ever. Kristina got up and walked over to Harry. She handed him something. Her bracelet. "Here." She said, she was a little shaky. She tried not to let him notice, though.
"What's this?" Harry said looking down at his hand. "Wait..is this your bracelet I gave back to you?" Harry asked. He was looking her deep in the eyes. "Umm. Yeah. I kinda means a lot to me." Kristina said in a quiet voice.
"No. I can't accept this then." Harry said, handing the bracelet back to her. She pushed away his hand. "No..really. It's okay.." Kristina continued. "I want you to have it. It means a lot to me...and so do you." Kristina said.
It was hard for her to give him it. She'd had it since the first grade. "Are you sure?" Harry asked in a husky voice. His voice was so deep and manly. "Yeah. My friend, Patty made it for me in the first grade. It's...kind of my good luck charm. And I'm giving it to you."
Kristina said in a sweet but shy voice. She could've sworn she saw a tear swell up in Harry's eye. But it faded just as quick as it came. Or maybe it didn't happen. Maybe she imagined it.
Kristina let out a deep breath. The kind of breath you let out after you had a huge load on your shoulders. Accept this time it was different. She felt..comfortable. Harry smiled exposing his huge dimples. "Thank you. I love you more than you can ever imagine." Harry said to her in a calm voice.
"Your welcome." she said. Harry pulled Kristina in for a big hug. Almost like a bear hug. Where sh can stay trapped in his arms forever. She rested her head on his neck. That was a perfect spot for her head. It seems like it's a cozy little place that was made for her. She felt so safe in his arms.
He looked down at her. She looked up at him. "you know you're like...amazing right?" Harry said with a grin so wide it went from ear to ear. "Yeah...maybe." Kristina joked. They both laughed a little. Harry let go of her and looked down on the floor. He picked his sweatshirt up an put it on.
"Hey..Harry." Kristina began to say. "Yeah, Boo?" Harry said back. "Uh....nothing...it's nothing. Never mind." Kristina said trying not to look at him much.

The moment felt right. She wanted to tell Harry...everything. She wanted to just....be so open with him. She thought of telling him about Lance. Would that be weird? A girlfriend telling her boyfriend about her old boyfriend? Definitely. "Well. It is something, actually." Kristina said.
"Okay. Wanna tell me?" Harry asked. "Okay..this is really hard. Well um....I ummm....you see there's this...um.." Kristina stuttered. Harry looked puzzeled. "Yeah..?" Harry asked. His eyes were squinted, as if he was trying to just read his mind. Kristina looked down at her feet; not knowing what she would say next.
"I wanted to talk to you. Well...I want to tell you something. This is really hard. My old boyfriend....Lance...he cheated on me. That made me have horrible trust issues.Serious trust issues and..." She said. Her mind was wondering. Thinking of the best words to say. But, it seemed like Harry figured out the missing puzzle pieces. He no longer looked confused.
He smiled slightly. Why would he smile? Kristina just said that her ex boyfriend cheated on her. Was that funny to him? Did that amuse him?
"Kristina. I know what you're saying. You were cheated on. After that it seems like everyone is out to get you. And...I'M out to get you. I'm out to get you to be my girlfriend. My love." Harry said. That was....THE sweetest and most thoughtful thing anyone has ever said to her. A tear ran down Kristina's face. She's never been so happy. "Thank you. That meant more than you thought it did." Kristina said.
Harry leaned in and kissed her forehead slightly.

Kristina and Harry were in the car. The radio was going. It was a great day. The weather has never been so nice. It was so warm. Harry felt some sweat on him. Hopefully it wasn't too noticeable. He smiled. He was driving. Kristina was in the passenger seat.
Harry was driving them to the ice cream shop. Not the local one. He wanted to go to a different one. But, secretly, he just wanted more alone time with her. In the car, at least.
He smiled at Kristina. Kristina smiled back. It was an unspoken language. Suddenly everything began to turn to a daze.
Kristina's smile faded. Why? Why? He wanted to scream. He watched her smile get smaller and smaller until she looked terrified. Harry turned his head. Everything was going in slow motion. The whole world was coming to an end.
He heard a popping noise. A huge truck's tire popped. It set on fire. The truck was out in the middle of the road. Flying. Flying for their car. Harry hit the gas fast. He tried to turn it out of the way. He tried to save the moment.

But it was too late.

He heard a loud crash. The truck rammed into his car. On the right side. Kristina's  side. Harry was alive. He heard his car alarm going off. Next thing he knows he was covered in blood. Not his blood. Kristina's blood. Harry got a few cuts. There was glass all over him. He reparred to look at Kristina. She was a mess. Unconscious. Dead? No. He saw some breathing. Harry uttered a low cry. He screamed at the top of his lungs. "HELP!!!" Harry screamed. "HELP!! HELP!!!"
Harry pulled out his phone as fast as he could. He dialled 911. "Help! My car crashed! HELP! My girlfriend needs HELP!"
