Marks POV
I open my eyes and I notice the familiar setting of a hospital room and Amy next to the bed but with a sleeping Bella in her lap
"A-Amy?" I say barely, it hurts way too much to talk right now
I notice Amy perk up "Mark! You're awake!" I smile "yeah" "I'll get the doctor, she told me to call if you woke up. Can you watch Bella? She's still sleeping" "I can manage" She nods the stands up and sets Bella on the chair then runs out to get the doctor
After a few minutes I hear Bella waking up. She sits up and yawns "Daddy?" "I'm here baby" I say looking over at her. She smiles and runs over to me hugging me "Thank you for saving me Bella, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be getting better" I manage to say, I don't want her to know how much pain I'm still in
The doctor walks in with Amy "Bella, honey, back up" Amy said sitting down. Bella went and sat in her lap as the doctor walks over to me "Alright Mr.Fischbach, we got the bullet removed the other day during surgery while you were still out of it. Now you won't be able to walk very well for the next few days so we'll give you crutches and-" "No, I'm not- ugh, not doing crutches" "Mark, you'll be fine. I'll help you get around the house" "I'll help too!" Bella says raising her hand
"ok.....fine" I don't want crutches but I'm guessing since my leg already has a cast on it I'll need some.
The doctor talks to us for a while longer and gives us medicine and crutches "Well you've been here long enough and we've done our test, I'll get a nurse to bring you a wheel chair and you should be good to go home" "H-How long have a been here?" "About 4 to 5 days, you've been completely out of it" I was out for that long?
The doctor leaves and I try sitting up but Amy stops me "Don't get up till she gets her with the wheel chair" "Amy I'll be ok, it's already wrapped up and-" "Mark no, I know you're still in pain so if I'm at the house you'll be on bed rest" "Amy I'll be ok to walk around" "Nope not with me"
The nurse comes in and moves me to a wheelchair
Bella walks over and I can tell she wants a 'ride' on the wheelchair "Come on" I say patting my lap on the leg that isn't hurt. She smiles and climbs into my lap while Amy pushes the wheelchair to the elevator while Bella giggles
After we get out of the hospital I take control and move the wheels on it while Amy walked next to me "I still can't believe that happened" I hear her whisper "Yeah me neither, but the good part is we're all together again" "Well yeah but do you think we should call the cops?" I shake my head no "It'll only cause us more trouble with them, next time they might actually kill me"
It's silent while we're walking but it didn't take long before we had fans around us
"Mark are you ok!?" "Omg what happened!?" "Mark what's happening, are you ok!?"
"Everyone calm down" I say to the crowd "I'm ok, just hurt my leg everything's ok" People talked to me and I introduced them all to Amy and a few snapped pictures of us and I took pictures with them then they signed my cast and we went home
I get to the front door and I can tell Amy cleaned but uhm how do I get in "Amy? Will the wheelchair fit?" "Shit, here Bella, get off Daddy's lap for a second" Bella climbed off and Amy helped me up and onto the crutches
I walked inside on the crutches "Alright Mark, bed" I hear Amy say "Amy I told you, I'm ok" "Mark bed, now" I roll my eyes "See I can't go to my room cuz it's upstairs" "then lay on the couch, it'll make it easier for me to help you too" I sigh and go to the couch and lay down
"Good now you relax, I'll take care of everything" Right before Amy left Bella yawned "But first, I think it's someone's nap time" I say "I'll lay her down"
Amy's POV
I take Bella up to her room and lay her down in bed "Mommy?" She asked yawning "Yeah?" "Can I nap with daddy?" "uhm.....we can go ask him" I pick her up and go downstairs "Hey Mark?" "Yeah?" "Someone wants to know if she can nap with you" He smiles "Of course, get her over here"
I laugh and bring her to Mark,laying her on his side
Bella giggled and layed with Mark messing with his shirt "Now Bella you actually have to go to sleep" "I will!" She cuddles into Mark and closes her eyes
We both chuckle, I'm happy everything worked out
