No way out (1D horror story) (some bxb)

Getting across

    "we are not lost" zayn answered.

    "lets just go back to the ladder cause I'm getting sick of this place" niall said taking the torch away from louis who didn't seem to mind.

   "fine lets get out of here" yes! were getting out of here! now I don't have to look like a wimp. liam thought as he followed zayn.

   "I don't think this is way" harry said making everyone stop. Is this how those kids died?... they couldn't find their way out...

   no don't think about that...

   "are you sure you know were you're going zayn?" niall asked. zayn didn't answer.

   liams ankle hurt even more as he walked along. how much longer are we going to be down here? the group continued making turns until liam heard the sound of running water up ahead.

   "were back where we started!" louis yelled.

   "great just great..." harry mumble. zayn turned around and faced him

   "do you have any other ideas? if you do feel free to share" zayn sneered. harry was taken back by what he said.

   "no..." he said looking at the ground.

   "anyone else?" zayn said looking at the others. the shook there heads not wanting to upset him more.

   "lets just go across" zayn said "if we go back we'll just be going in a big circle". liam didn't like the sound of that but going across looked risky.

   By the looks of the pool stretched from one side to the other and it looked a bit deep.

   "zayns right these tunnels run all other town so if we go across we will eventually find a way out" louis said

   "who guarantees its safe?" niall asked looking at the water. he was right, there were rats swimming back and fourth in the water eating at the decaying paper. zayn held his torch over the water.

    the water didn't reach all the way to the wall but only a small portion was dry. and it looked wide enough to walk across.

 

   "there's dry ground over here you'll be fine". niall sighed in response.

   "yea but is wide enough for us walk on?" harry asked.

   "only one way to find out". zayn stepped onto what seemed like a ledge. liam was nervous seeing how zayn almost lost his balance twice.

   "its pretty narrow and it looks like it goes all the way across! follow me" zayn said getting close to the other side.

   "you got to be kidding me" niall groaned. soon zayn stepped off the ledge.

   "come on guys!"

   "no way am I going" niall argued.

   "you want to get out of here or not!"zayn said trying to reason with him.

   "no! I'm not crossing"

   "okay if liam goes will you?" wait what?...

   liam was a bit skeptical but he knew he had go across for two reasons, one he didn't want to look like a wimp in front of zayn and second he really wanted to find a way out of here.

   "okay I'll go" liam said stepping forward.

   "good, you can fall in" niall said stepping aside.

   liam took a deep breath and stepped onto the ledge. he was taking his time cause as you can see he has a bad ankle and his wrist wasn't any better.

   "will you hurry up!" louis yelled.

   "I have a bad ankle remember!?" liam snapped as he continued forward.

   "just hurry!" ignore him...

   liam tried to move faster but only with little space to walk and only thing to hold on to was the wall that was slick with rain water it was pretty hard.

   "your next harry" zayn called over.

   "I'm coming!" harry said without hesitation.

   

   liam was freezing, as water was washing over the ledge his shoes were soaked. the pool was pure rain water, the temperature was like winter ice.

   "you are so slow" louis muttered.

   "shut up" liam said keeping his eyes on his feet. but as he looked up he found zayn looking straight at him. only a short space separate them.

   "just ignore him" zayn told him quietly "try and keep your balance, only a few more steps". liam nodded and took another step.

   but as he was about to take another step something brushed his foot. liam jumped and let out a scream.

   "liam!" zayn yelled.

   struggling to regain his balance, he quickly stepped forward only to land on something squirming. it scurried out from under him, throwing him backwards.

  liam fell into the freezing water, he tried screaming but his mouth was filled with the putrid water, and he soon started to choke.
