Chapter #1~~Panic and Ice

~Tillie’s POV~

I grabbed my jacket and ran out the door panicking every second of the way. I couldn’t believe my cousins could be so stupid! A human transmutation circle, what bakas! I could only imagine what horrors had happened in their house. Why hadn’t I stayed for a while after the funeral of their mother? I could have helped them but my father’s state alchemist job got in the way. That’s it. From now on I’m making a pact with myself that family comes first. That way this will never happen again.

It took me about an hour to reach Winry’s house. I banged open the door with my foot yelling, “Where the heck are Ed and Al?!” A few surprised faces looked at me. Apparently there was company here. I anime sweat dropped. Lt. Riza was in one room with Winry and in the other were Winry’s grandma, Ed, Col. Mustang, and Mustang’s little sister Akine. *What is she doing here?* I thought. But that didn’t matter because I didn’t see Al. Oh God no. It didn’t happen. Please tell me it didn’t happen. I ran up to Ed in the wheelchair across the room. He looked at me strangely. “Tillie?” he asked, “I thought you were out on a state alchemist mission with your dad-”

“That doesn’t matter I interrupted him. Where’s Al? For God’s sake Ed where is he? He didn’t d-d..d-…” I couldn’t even say the word. I saw Ed relax a little. Apparently he didn’t think I would give him a lecture. Oh I would just not at the moment.

“I’m right here Tillie.” I heard Al’s voice say. I flipped around surprised when I smacked into a suit of armor.

“Al?” I asked. “YEP!” he said. That’s when I started to run around the room screaming that a suit of armor was talking to me. It took a while but they finally got me to calm down though it did take Mustang’s little sister Akine freezing me to one of the chairs in the room. Eventually they got me to listen about what happened and how the military wants them to join. They were all staring at me like I was supposed to choose sides in the conflict. I sighed trying to stand up momentarily forgetting my butt was iced to the chair. I blushed and immediately sat back down. “Well I can’t really choose a side here because I see where Granny there is coming from with Winry’s parents and everything but then again I’m determined on becoming a state alchemist too. So I don’t see what’s so bad about Ed or Al being one. After all I’ll be there to watch over them cause were family right?” Granny’s glare softened a bit and out of the corner of my eye I saw Mustang do his little ‘all knowing’ smirk.

“Well I think it’s about time that we go.” Mustang said. They were almost out the door when I suddenly remembered something.

“Hey!” I screamed at them making them stop, “What about me? Make your little sis unstick my butt!”

Before Mustang could answer, Akine flipped around and glared at me. “First of all my brother doesn’t ‘make’ me do anything. Second, if you want my help don’t have someone command me to do so when I’m right there especially my brother. Thirdly, I don’t feel like it! Humph!” With that she crossed her arms and turned her back on me. *Dang* I thought, *Someone has a major sibling complex…*

Mustang tried to butt in, “Akine I swear if every time I have to order you-”

Fire raged in Akine’s eyes, “Don’t patronize me!!!!!!!!!” Then she used her water alchemy and started throwing ice shards at Mustang as he ran around throwing fire behind him to melt the ice. Hawkeye just sighed and shook her head. Even I was in disbelief. The few times I’ve met Akine (my father’s a state alchemist whose friends with Mustang) she was so sweet and innocent. Right now I was shell shocked that that little beast had come out of her. Right then Hawkeye bent down and put her hand on Akine’s shoulder. I prepared myself for her rage to come out of her again. But to my surprise nothing happened.

“Now Akine I know you hate your brother and all but those people over there mean no harm.” Hawkeye pointed at me and then continued, “Now would you please show some understanding and take the ice off her?” Akine sighed slowly and nodded. With a flick of her alchemy she unfroze me from my seat. I sighed in relief and stood up. Just to make sure there was no ice stuck to me I touched the seat of my pants. They were dry. She literally took all the water away. I had to say I was somewhat impressed. Mustang had now finally come back from his little run with the ice rain. Akine smirked at him as he walked past grumbling towards the car. “Have fun?” she asked sarcastically. All she got was a mumble out of Mustang as they climbed into the car after waving bye. Not long after that I watched them drive away in the distance. *Okay…that was weird* I thought, * which reminds me…*

“Eeedd. Aallll.” I flipped around glaring evilly at them with a singsong voice. “I believe we have some business to attend to that deals with your little alchemy stunt.” Before I could get any closer they went running screaming the other way…well more like Al was running pushing Ed’s wheelchair while Ed yelled at Al to go faster as I gained on them laughing evilly. I now decided that no matter what Ed and I were going to become state alchemists to get their bodies back. After all that was the only way. Right?

…End of Chapter 1…

~~~Ash's Random Babble~~~
Okay so I hoped you liked this story!  Alright now I'm gonna tell you a little more info about the characters. Alright starting with Tillie. Okay for all those people out there who think Tillie is a state alchemist she isn't...I REPEAT TILLIE IS NOT A STATE ALCHEMIST!!!!! You see her Father is actually one and he takes her on most of his missions which is why Tillie knows Akine. Akine isn't a state alchemist either but is dragged along by her brother (Mustang in case you haven't caught on) on mission so she can also practice her alchemy. Also I know they draw alchemy circles in the anime so please don't get on me about when I type 'with a flick of her alchemy' cause it's just easier to type that then having to say so she drew this and he drew that. Seriously it's much easier.
